What is your favorite version of Rockman?

Oh crap... I haven't replied to this yet XD

My favorite by far is Dash!, I love the setting and the characters and everytime I play it I get chills. <3

Exe is a fun strategy game... back in my day though we never had any of these fancy chip things D: We had mad buster skillz. Battle Network is my personal promise to my cuz...that I won't stop playing Rockman. XD

I like classic... cause... well... Mad buster skillz... I literally shot a pellet and it'd hit something.

X brought me and my cuz close together before I left...

Zero... fun game to say the least... but I can't say it hold as special a place in my heart... my friend always has me defeat the final boss though... e_e;

I love all of the series and I have a reason to enjoy them. Each Rockman represents SOMETHING and that reason is the reason I play them.

Rockman EXE is my favorite, because he gets too use new kinds of weapons than just a megabuster and copying another boss's abilities. Also, Rockman EXE looks cooler this time. :V

In terms of design for Rockman himself, I'd have to go with Dash.
Rockman Trigger looks far better than any of the others. :>

As for gameplay, I'm with the X series(1-6 and Command Mission). Wall jumping adds a certain... something, and Zero made everything fun. X2 and 6 are my favorites, 7 was asstastic and 8 killed off any difficulty that the series had. :<

For cast, it's a tie between the original series and EXE. Roll, Wily and Forte are great in the original version, and Blues is... Hakaider. XD

EXE has Forte and now [spoil:bd9b02fef2]Killerman,[/spoil:bd9b02fef2] which make my fanboy heart cry out in joy. :>

And in terms of art, Zero wins hands-down. i'm still looking for artbooks, those cutscenes are so pretty...

For art work I'd also pick the Zero series. Those artists have some mad skillz.
Difficulty is probably the X series. Some of those bosses are really annoying.
For story I'd pick the DASH series just because it's so awesome.
EXE is just plain fun and addicting.

I can't really Choose! The Zero series has my heart in the difficult catagory (can't forget the artwork is AMAZING), The EXE series has brought back the old joyful days of Rockman 1-8. The X series was good up to Rockman X4.......From there it just went downhil (excluding Command mission). And Dash.......was pretty good except the persistant horrible camera angles....*fears the camera angels*l

The one I like most is the EXE series. It has an anime, good games(minus EXE4><).

Zero and X comes in a close second. More over Zero, but X is also good. <I wish the Zero series has an anime, lols.>

Original and Dash, I don't like it that much, but it's on my okay list(T_T No PS1).

im a big Mega Man. EXE fan, but Mega Man X is still cool. it ould be awesome if there were some MMX games for the Nintendo DS. i know that there are 2 new Mega Man games coming out for the PSP, but i don't plan on getting one anytime soon. anyways, i don't really like the original Mega Man that much, probably because i was too young to understand how to play when it was still pretty popular and the difficulty level was crazy...but then came Mega Man Zero and that series gets harder with every new installment. i kinda dig the storyline though.

Mine by far is Megaman NT Warrior. I think the battle chip idea and the new cross fusion and double souls are really cool. (To be honest I have never played any other megaman or seen much of them. Laughing

)

I like all the rockmans to tell the truth. But if I had to choose I'd go with rockman.exe and rockman x . but I still like rockman and dash as well..

To tell you the truth, I wasn't into Megaman much before EXE came along.
But the EXE series is my favorite, followed closely by Zero. Such beautiful artwork.

X is my favorite because, well, it's the series that got me into Rockman. >.>

Zero is a very close second, mostly because of the (mostly) good plot and beautiful artwork.

X series has gotta be the best. It's the longest running series, it has great characters, and it's the first Rockman series I've ever played.

Next is EXE. I love it because I love RPGs(simple reason).

Then Zero, great art, and it's fun to have a different main character.

Then DASH, fun at first, but after beating it, you get bored.

Then the original. I loved it but slowly, I'm becoming dissappointed because it's no longer continued.

I'd have to say EXE. It has a cool Megaman design, and I got tired of playing X after X7 was out. The first time I saw the box to EXE 1, I thought that Netto WAS Rockman... :/

Here are my reasons:

Original- the series that started it all.

I liked the original series because of all the cool weapons and the Robot Masters. Although the series itself is not finished, what with there being no ninth game and all, it's still a good series and the one of the best games of all time is Mega Man 2.

X series- The sequel to the original.

I liked the X series for the same reasons I liked the original, the weapons and the Mavericks. I liked the armor parts but I believe if they are going to put a third character in the series, they should've used Dynamo but in stead they stuck us with Axl.

Legends- A legend in its own right.

MegaMan Legends is a very unique game series, sure wished they continued the series though because it is begging for more sequels! In all honesty, I don't it was a good idea to consider it part of the Classic-X-Zero timeline and that it should be its own series.

Battle Network- Adventures in the Cyberworld.

I didn't really consider this series at first but after I played it for awhile and watched the fairly dubbed anime , I found myseif hooked on BattleChips! I liked the Soul Unisons and Style Changes concept but I disliked some of the Navis design like Snakeman.

Zero- Love/Hate relationship.

I loved the Zero series because of the music, gameplay, weapons and cyber-elfs. I hated the art because they made my Zero all girly looking and skinny when he was clearly a Man's man in the X series. Also as noted by several fans, the story has ton of holes that need to be filled.

Overall, I liked the Mega Man series and I hope that one day after a ton of sequels that more Mega Man games should be more like Mega Man 2 (NES).
