Not bad. I like it more than your previous design, especially as far as the sword goes. Looks painful. XD
I really don't have any complaints, and it looks like it would be good for coloring, due to the lack of shading.

Well, I dont want to be cursed, so I'll comment 
It looks sort of like a vampire...Yep..Been playing enough Castlevania....?
I like it...It could be a birdish thing actually....

I figured the inspiration would be, at least partly, from Vampire Hunter D. At least, D was a Dunpeal (half human, half vampire). Blooday!

Yes! That's exactly where it came from! The real inspiration is Vampire Hunter D, but the reason I watched that movie was because I played Castlevania:DS for a week. I developed an obsession for vampires as a result.
I'm glad someone else here saw that..

Well, Vampire Hunter D is an anime horror classic, though I honestly thought it suffered from some moments of hokeyness. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust on the other hand was just awsome. It was beautifully animated, and probably my favorite scene from it (and one of the coolest scenes in anime) was when Meier purposefully went into sunlight to keep the woman he loved from being taken from him. D himself was a cool enough character in the first movie, but the coolness factor went way up the scale in Bloodlust.
