Darn they are delaying it AGAIN in January 1 or 15 or 16 something like that. Man now I'm just going to wait untill my birthday darn this is'nt going like I hoped. If I'm not acting like I like the X series its that I'm friggen tict off.

I've only played X5, X7, and X8, so this will be a great chance for me to learn the story of the X series.

I just wish they'd "remix" the graphics for the first few games, but then again i'm a graphics junkie, which is why i'm really looking forward to Megaman X:Maverick Hunter X and Megaman:Powered Up for the PSP.

Wow. Won't you be in for a surprise...

X5 is generally considered "meh," X7 is mostly reviled, and opinions vary wildly on X8.

Just wait until you play Mega Man X1, or MHX. If you liked the three you did play... then just you wait...

...just don't expect to play as Zero.

Woot just four more days till the MMX Collection comes out ^.^ can't wait to play these on the Console again. the last time I played MMX1 and MMX2 on the console was 1993 and 1994 when they first came out (before we sold the SNES) so its going to be great to play the old SNES games again.

Yeah, according to GameFAQs, you need to defeat X1, X2, and X3. In which case, I'm screwed @_@; (Well, as far as X2-3 goes, I'm doing...kind of alright...on X1 ^^; ). Not exactly sure what the other unlockables are or what gets them yet, though *looks up in thought*...

Not entirely sure that needs a spoiler tag *blinks, then shrugs* But yeah, we were talking about that in the channel last night. It's a shame, but most people, it seems, have the original version so it's not like one can never hear them again ;P And while I don't like them removing them, if they had to, for example to fit in more extras, then it's practically worth it.

Sadly, from what I've heard, the X Collection has pretty much nothing by way of extras aside from Battle & Chase.

Well at the moment, Battle and Chase is enough for me, just like PF/PB is plenty unlockables on the MMAC. We'll see if my tune changes after I play it, but for now, BnC is plenty. Maybe not to justify leaving out the voices of X6, but as far as general unlockables go, that's fine. And I repeated myself about three times, but oh well xD;

Since I got the collection the other day, I'm playing through Mega Man X seeing as that is the one that I am familiar with as I said in my previous post on this thread. It actually took me a while to get used to the controls as the A and B buttons are assigned to the right configurations unlike what it was in Mega Man: Anniversary Collection and because I am used to A being fire and B being jump, I made some mistakes in X. Now that I've gotten used to the proper controls, I should have fewer problems. I'm personally looking forward to unlocking Battle & Chase in addition to the artwork.

The X collection is gonna make an honest player out of me LOL I used a gameshark to beat x4 & x6 LOL & I dont have any cheat devices for my gamecube LOL

Everyone should head over to the megaman netowrk, they have an editorial on why the x collection is so bare bones

Actually they did add them, but if you read megaman networks editorial, you would know they pulled that & alot of the x collection extras because Keiji Inafune felt it would take away from the Irregular Hunter X series, all the remixed music & dubbed stuff was ripped out last minute, READ THE EDITORIAL PEOPLE! and so you cant say that you didnt find the link, here it is:

Incase the link gets removed, here is what got yanked:

Mega Man X:
- Script revised to include "Damn!" in the intro stage. This was done while X1 was being retrofitted, and left in there after the remixes were pulled.

Mega Man X2:
- Music was remixed, but then pulled for use in IHX2.

Mega Man X4:
- Original voices were reinserted after the redubs were removed (this lends to the slightly different sound quality of the in-game voices).

Mega Man X5:
- We got no word on whether the names of the Mavericks were at any point actually changed, but our Capcom representative expressed disappointment at the fact that they remained the Guns'n'Roses names. When the time rolls around for IHX, we're told, they will be changed.

Mega Man X6:
- Oh, the horror of the Sentsuizan. There's actually an interesting story behind this one. The move, originally mapped to Up+Attack while in the air, HAD been fixed, as evidenced by the "Got weapon" screen telling you to press Down+Attack in the air. This was changed for an unknown reason in post-production when one of the programmers mistakenly remapped it to the original button combo. *sigh*
- We're told that pulling the voices from X6 was an executive decision made by Robert Johnson. He reasoned that if the voices were left in, people would complain. If he took them out, people would complain, so he went with the choice to minimize the Japanese and removed them.

Good to shed some light on the whole extra issue. I'm still disappointed, though. I was really looking forward to a redub of X4, with a voice actor for Zero who can emote and pronounce "coup" properly. Wonder how long it'll take for IHX4 to come out. Maybe they're doing one a year?

Not to say I'm not enjoying the X Collection (even though I already own the games seperately...), but it's a bit regretful to know what could have been.
