Im not sure if someone mentioned it but if this site had a friends list it would be easier to PM people you know?

Most of us go on AIM or just try and remember our friends' names. o_O; Besides, a friend list would probably just annoy the admins who would suddenly find themselves being friend-requested to be on everyone's list. >_>

It may be so, but I think the site deletes PM's that are a bit too old. So you may have to refresh the PM's every once ina while. However, I know PM's like to eat bandwidth, so I'm not so sure about that method.

Maybe you could restriced power though. Like non-staff can only buddy non-staff.

You can choose for a certain PM to be saved, I did the same thing as Izumi.

I can look into this friends list thing. Nobi's currently on vacation visiting his parents, so it'll be a few days before I can give a definate answer.

Maybe you can get a friend's list that only let you add non staff, and must get a agreed request from the other person. Invisionfree board has something like that.

I don't see as point, personally. Buddy lists are what AIM and MSN are for and we're not Gaia Online... Unecessary if you ask <.<;.

A friend list would simply descend the forum into a popularity contest. For example, part of the senior traditions (which I never took part in, thank you very much) in my high school was to compile a "crush list" and post it so that the seniors can see it. Never knew the purpose of that, and I don't want to know know.
