Official Rockman ZX Discussion Thread! *Spoilers?*

There is one thing about this that does set me uneasy, I have a feeling that this whole thing, from the two screenshots that I've seen, I've come the the conclusion that this is a Hoax.

In the first screen shot that we have, it shows Elie going walking on a fountain. Her foot is on the water, unlike how in the Zero series Zero's foot is on the ground in the water. I think this should have been coded somehow, or maybe this could be a error.

The other frame is the real kicker though, I did a sprite comparision with Copy-X, and you know what? It's his jump. I even shrunk it to the picture's size.

Exactly the same pose as copy-X's jump. As a spriter, I know this can be done. And I swear I've seen elie's running pose before.

And the scene of the city seems a bit too unreal to the game, It doesn't look like a normal game bakground found in the Zero games, it looks like game art (or maybe that's just me)

Another thing with the sprites, is that I've noticed that the colors used for our heroes in the art is brown, while in the game it's light red.

In the screen shots, there are in their human forms not in a battle form. While they would have other forms to use correct? This might be related to why it's an H (for human) instead of E or V.

Now about the art? Well I have seen many artists on sites like DA perfectly mimic the Production art style, I actually love the ones some people did with Childe. They really look original (But again, this is a IF)

But Hoax or not, I'll wait till capcom says something. They are the only ones who know the truth (and the original person who leaked the story. So Untill then, I'll take all this ZX info with a grain of salt untill.

Also, if this is a real game, then I really hope this is a AU and not in the classic/X/Zero/Legends timeline.

Maybe Zero didn't die after all. The ending just showed his battered helmet. In the pictures from that site, the Zero-esque character resembles him very much. Maybe he forgot his memories again. ...forgot to CTRL+S Laughing

I believe he'll play the mentor role in the game somehow and will probably regain his power at some point. [/spoil:0275d3ecae]

so the next question to ask, while looking at the picture at the capcom site would be: Are there 2 characters that can transform into X ( a boy and a girl) or is it like pokemon in which you can choose the gender you play as.

Most likely be a "Choose a gender" Or you play them before starting a Mission you get to choose who does it like in X5,6 and get to see their side of the story.

Van turns into Model X, not Model Z. Both Van and Eile become Model X.

In all due respect, I think this game isn't gonna be a good one. I mean, it looks and sounds alot like a Power Rangers clone.

Tommy was the first season's Green Ranger (later the White Ranger), wasn't he? Unless you're referring to his long hair, his creation by Rita, and his return in the second season as the White Ranger, I'd say Jason would be more like Zero, since he had a red battle suit and was the leader of the group, and the fact that he came back a few seasons later as the Gold Ranger?

Oh, the nostalgia.

I remember with the EXE series first coming out there were some that critizied it and poked fun at the way some of the characters looked, or their relations to one another not being like that of the original series. Later the same thing happened with the Zero series when the art was let out on the characters, and some information was filtering out. If there is one thing that I have learned about the Rockman games is that you can't judge it from glancing at it, once you actually play it everything seems to fall into place. Others might be reinforced that they don't like it, but that is their own choice and opinions and I'm not going to critizie them for it, to each their own.

To me the game looks interesting, and the translated description of it from the page does put me in mind of some how being a bridge series to go into the Dash series. But will have to see when it comes out.
