Yes...ahaha!! :O
See this thread here in DDRFreak for other infos and stuff....
http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=113599
But I'll just quote Cutriss here...
Quote: | Betson Enterprises and DDR Freak are proud to announce that the newest DDR arcade game, DDR SuperNOVA, is coming to North American and European arcades (as Dancing Stage SuperNOVA), and very soon. We're sure you all have many many questions about the game, and we'll be giving you more information as we get it, including news about the upcoming location tests, so watch this space! |
What does this mean? New DDR Arcade mix! Technically..the second one, I think. O_o...since, actually, all the EXTREME machines are completely illegal.
I can only hope that we get stuff off the Console mixes, such as the ULtramixes, or EX2 or 1 stuff. here's my wishlist for the game:
Max 300: SMMM
Jelly Kiss
Evolution
THE STRONG JAEGER (Yay n.n)
PARANOiA [Respect]
Max.(period), just for the omg will dis gaem hav teh max.(dot)??//! people. =/
yeah..O_o..I hope for a lot of stuff...Maybe this'll be our Ex JP CS. In the arcades of course..but....XD Oh and here's the logo:
Hooray for Super NOVA \o/
[EdiT] More infos from OLR. n.n
Quote: | Konami Corporation of Europe BV (KCOE) are proud to present the latest manifestation of the Dancing Stage / DDR machines – Dancing Stage SuperNOVA (European title).
ATEI 2006 (Jan 24th to 26th 2006 in Earls Court, London) is the fist place in the World that anyone will see the game. The game on show will be approx. 75 percent complete. It will be launched later in the year through the KCOE European distributor network.
We have listened to player’s feedback and included points where possible, to be able to create a product that we feel offers something for everyone, whether a hardcore player or a new player.
At this time the only information I can give you about the machine is:
- The game will be a "Global" version which means the US and EU versions will be identical (Except in name of course; It'll still be called Dancing Stage: Supernova in Europe.)
- There will be a huge track list on it (at this time we are speaking to music licensors therefore the list is not complete).
- There are new modes and game play. (Now whether or not that means all new or just "new to arcades" wasn't specified.)
As for a US release, a Betson employee said production wouldn't be starting till May for DDR:SN. |
Yesh..my arcade better get this >:O _________________ all i ever wanted was the world |

yay? Well, i am a little good on the feet one but I'd rather it with the controller. My highest combo was 475 with the keyboard. It is too much jumping with my feet. I like to use my hands on the actual mat, but my hands gt dirty from it. |

Well, if you were playing ITG, you'd have to use your hands. XP
Hooray for 3-4 arrows at the same time! :D _________________ all i ever wanted was the world |

ITG = In The Groove, which is basically a version of DDR that's hopped up on arrows. =/ _________________ all i ever wanted was the world |

I'm hoping they have as many songs as the arcade EX and more, hopefully.

Oh, that's great news! I think the reason that it's hard to find DDR in arcades sometimes is because of how it's illegal, yeah. Now I hope it'll be more readily available!
.. though I'm happy with my Mario DDR at home. XD _________________ deviantART / Live Journal / Yaoi Gallery |

Screw DDR SuperNova. Notice how Konami isn't even involved with it? Betson Enterprises or something like that. And honestly, DDR is overrated now. All of it's real players have moved onto ITG, which is a much, much better game. Longer songs, edits, hands, rolls, good songs, and a company that actually listens to every single one of it's fans. RoXoR has done a great job giving the fans what they ask for, (National and International OFFICIAL tournaments, with a $10,000 first place) RoXoR knows the fanbase in America much better than Konami does (Most of the people that developed ITG originally worked on StepMania), and they've showed that they're willing to listen. Sure, DDR was great back in the day, but Konami decided to ditch their American fanbase for their own Japanese fanbase, and not produce another DDR Arcade game, while ITG has pounded it to the ground each and every year with each new version. Sorry guys, but ITG is just an all around better game. If this had happened a few years ago, when a new DDR arcade game should have come out, I'd have listened. Not anymore. I've moved onto a better, more enjoyable dancing game. _________________

Where every song sounds alike! :D Zodianubis! :D Hardcore Force of the Classical! :D
*will not bash teh ITG*
Actually, Konami IS making this. Betson enterprises is simply distributing the machines. And lets try and avoid bashing DDR, because I could come back with just as much of an arguement against ITG. >_> _________________ all i ever wanted was the world |

I figure this is better than making a new board. I'm pretty sure SuperNOVA is getting a PS2 verson.... think the PS2 verson will have the 300 songs??? *begs* |
