Meh, I don't blame you if you're used to the GFAQ boards. That place is all about the folders, isn't it? |

Tell me about it.
The GFaqs boards are a jungle compared to here. Any folder there, in basically any game, will either result in mockery, claiming that the idea was already taken, or being denounced as a n00b. Sigh. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! But they'll have to avoid the Whammy, as they play the most exciting game of their lives! From Television City in Hollywood! *ahem* I'm trying to finish my Libary to fight Bass. I'm missing chips 84,122,139, and 140. Do I have to restart the game to get these? |

No, just try to beat Duo to get to a new game. Some chips are only available in sertain Continues. Besides, all your hard work will go to waste -_-; _________________

I used dark chips to beat Thunderman V2 (>.>), but he's just a darker blue is that bad? I've used dark chips before, but I feel like I'm killing my navi by lowering his hp which is bad. Any suggestions? _________________

To answer Xel's question more thoroughly:
84-CircGun3--Try the final MeteorComp (before you play the end sequence)
122-GrabRvng--Third item in the TownArea4 PMD. Check previous posts.
139-AntiWatr--
140-AntiElec--
I really don't recall where either of these chips naturally reside. Nonetheless, both of the previous chips can be found in various BMDs or PMDs, it just depends on how many you've collected. Otherwise, just spam the ElecTown 10-chip Trader for these. Chances are you'll get them. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! AntiAqua's in the same PMD in Town Area 4, during the second playthrough.
AntiElec's in a PMD in ACDC Area 2 during the second playthrough as well. |

He said "second time", so I'm guessing he meant V2 rather than SP.
V2 isn't much stronger than V1. The same strategies work on him, just use stronger chips this time if you have them. I'm sure you already know to not use any swords or ground-based attacks and to use your GunDelSols separately as opposed to in PA form. If not, then do so. |

Well, I guess so. Follow the above suggestions. Invis+As many GunSols as you can cram into your folder. That's a good general strategy. Do yourself a favor and equip BusterPack, in the case that you run out of chips. From there, it's all hand-eye. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! That's funny. LifeSwords were a consistent strategy of mine, plus a charged NeoVari CrossSword once I hit v3. _________________ The name is Warp "Ligia" Obscura. *Cocks gun to shoot mispellers* |

I agree. DreamSwords and GunDelSols separately were a wonderful strategy. _________________ I can't help you. I don't speak English.

Well...if you do play EXE4, you will be...let's put it this way. You will be less than thrilled.
At least that's my opinion. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! But they'll have to avoid the Whammy, as they play the most exciting game of their lives! From Television City in Hollywood! It's time to 'Press Your Luck!'--Rod Roddy

No, it's actually the first game in the series to make big changes to the gameplay.
Hope you asked that because you want to know if the game was worth buying, because otherwise that's gotta be one of the most pointless posts I've seen in a while. |

You're thinking about 4.5. 4.5 is where you dont control the navi and you send chips. It's a very fun game, not matter what people say.
5 is a serious improvement. _________________

Ah Im Glad to hear that Then! I gonna buy EXE 4 more quickly now! :V
I love the action RPG's!, Strategy Based Are fun..but not for EXE in my opinion. Im sure 4.5 is a Fun game anyways!
But the gameplay of part five, I need to know! will be like parts 1,2,3 and 4 right?
part 4.5 was just a unique special game right?
Im so sorry for all this questions...these are the last ones I promise! :V _________________

EXE4 is the only one to seriously deviate from the formula with its Tournament stuff. EXE5 is pretty different too, probably more so with the Liberation mode,, but it's as linear as EXE1-3 were. Just play them both already and see for yourself. |
