IMO, it's not. -.- It just seems like a waste of money. I mean, you can't even link up with anyone else!! Does the GBM even have a backlight??
But what I like about this new DS Lite is the placement of the microphone. It makes it easer for MKDS or chering on Rock. _________________ I am Solar Boy Django! TAIYOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!

The backlight on the GBM is even brighter than the DS. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

i never said that. that was XHunter17. something was messed up there.
BTW, you can link up to other people. there's a cable that converts the EXT. port to an EXT. 1 port. i've got that cable in the mail. and yes, the GBM IS better than the SP. _________________ just call me xfyre. not xfyrethespooky. |

...considering the fact that I just got my DS a week ago, I don't think I'll be buying this anytime soon.
Still though, it seems nice. Hopefully the smallness won't diminish the ability to hold and control the thing... my hands got cramps from playing my SP... |

I have to admit that the Nintendo DS Lite does make some good improvements over the original version of the handheld, yet from what I have seen so far, people have mixed results over this announcement. Personally, I am happy with the Nintendo DS that I have right now so I don't need to buy this newer version. The original Nintendo DS is a bit bulky for me at times and the Lite version addresses this rather well by making it slightly smaller. It also addresses the Power button situation that caused some problems with the original model. |

Something to ponder about or hope for:
Online Pictochat for the new version of the DS
Hopefully that's a thumbs up. :D _________________ ~DrkX (Resident over-sexed camera-whore & Facebook zombie.)

But with all the people who really want it already knowing about it, they don't need to make it a holiday item. =/ And why would it be any different for different countries? O_o _________________ all i ever wanted was the world |

Sticking with my old DS. Plus, I thought that it is only coming out in Japan. Am I right?- _________________

Well, even tough it looks cool I think I'll pass. I haven't even recieved my christmas DS! How can I afford to get this, I'm just in the "saving money" stage, if it reaches my birthday and I still don't get it I will buy it myself. I think that I was tricked...
Anyway, it just seems like a GBASP. When it came out I passed, so I stick to originals. _________________

Well as one of the people who bought the DS when it first came out i look forward to this new DS Lite, but I see no reason to have 2 so i'm just gonna trade in my current DS towards the new one. I did the same thing when the GBA SP came out, I traded in that crappy original for it. |

I already have a DS but I will be getting a DS Lite because the only reason I don't bring my DS around is because it is so bulky so instead I bring my GBA SP when I go around in public. Besides, two of a portable system is a good idea since I will likely be getting both versions of the pokemon DS game and then I could trade with myself. The microphone and power button being moved is also great. |

To me, the new DS seems like a good idea. It solves a lot of problems I have with my second DS( like accidentally mashing the power button, having trouble with the mic picking up my voice because of where it is, wrists/hands hurting due to the weight/shape..).. That, and being able to controll the brightness of the screen is great. I love that feature of my GBM, so depending on the colors offered on the new DS, I'll probably be snagging one up... And keeping the old one for backup. >D _________________
