People! With Yu-Gi-Oh, 4kids has gone too far. They're now making their own show, and are airing it in Ireland, called Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monsters, the forum over on Janime's site has info, and some downloads of it.

seems they are using a game from the original series
and Tea/Anzu plays too it seems.

Capsule monsters was a really cute game. I still fail to see why the topic is "4kids has gone too far", though, and some actual information about the discussion.

Are you sure they're making their own series? Those screenshots look way too authentic to have been a show made by 4Kids. Maybe this is only airing in Ireland here for some odd reason..?

Agreed with Izu... don't really see why this would be going too far. Looks kinda cool from the screenshots, too.

While I'll agree that the artwork looks really shiney and cool, I'm a little afraid considering Yu-Gi-Oh! GX has been...really, not good at all. Not to mention, I think the people in America like YGO, I don't wanna say for thw wrong reasons, but mainly for the superficial merchandising reasons, and I honestly don't thik they'd make a story that's all that deep...well, not that YGO is extremely 'deep' to begin with, but you get it.

Guess we'll have to see, but I doubt it's gonna be anything good aside from more "BUY OUR @#$%!! :D" oppourtunities. They probably had no CHOICE but to do this now that Pokemon is out of Al Kahn's money-grubbing hands, and the original YGO series is gonna be coming to an end soon.

They did it to Sonic X. I'm betting on them bringing it, though probably after GX or something.

There was no announcement of this, and I've seen the second episode. I really don't think TVTokyo would have the characters do some of the things they do. Example: Joey and Tristan doing a stupid can-can victory dance, twice in that episode. I think people would've heard about this if it were Japanese. It was the same thing for the movie, the Pyramid of Light, that was 4kids too.

They've made it REALLY Pokemon like. They wear these belts that they carry their capsules in. The capsules contain the Duel Monsters. So far, they've chosen very old monsters to make appearances, and they have 'partners'. There also seems to be no explanation on how the heck Atem is in there. Probably put in between Doom and KC Grand Cup.

Yuugi/Atem: Hinotama Soul, Celtic Guardian
Joey: Baby Dragon
Tea: Happy Lover
Tristan: Not sure of his card name, but they call him Thunder Kit
Grandpa: Summoned Skull

Oh and just so people know, it has nothing to do with Capmon game from season 1. Story for this thing is that they went into some pyramid, and ended up in another virutal world. Atem says during episode two that they may be trapped in a real life version of the Capsule Monsters board game.

well, if they follow grandpa's deck from all yuGiOh games thus far, he might get exodia =)
His egyption counterpart Shimon summons exodia later in the Pharoh memmory arc.
I hope that Kaiba and (Yami) Bakura will appear in this series.

And if we are lucky, maybe 4kids will make an animated version of the YuGiOh-R manga.
