I have a question. Why Vile who is a Maverick kill the other maverick?

He doesn't like them, and they got in his way. Vile says that he's going to be the one to change the world, not X.

Vile may be a Maverick now, but he's not the Sigma lackey that we always thought he was.

Wow, it rocks that you can play as Vile. It's about time that a Rockman game got a good dub, too. Too bad I don't have a PSP.

To add to BD's point on Vile:

[spoil:0384075bea]Basically, whenever X questions him about why he's joined Sigma's rebellion, Vile flat out denies it, saying he just hates X (he really emphasizes this point). His main goal is to prove his own worth by killing X. As BD said, the other Mavericks just got in the way of that.

Although this begs the question...when Vile fights X & Zero together, X has many of the Mavericks' weapons. How can he when Vile's the one that killed them?[/spoil:0384075bea]

Oh, another nice point I thought was the different death animations and sayings each Maverick/boss has. I particularly like Mandrill's reflection of, "So this is what it's like." Although, does anyone else find Chameleon's death kinda disturbing? He's laying on the ground, gasping and reaching out to X, who's just coldly standing there.

And I forgot to mention: Storm Eagle rocks my world. If I wasn't a human living in reality, I'd SO be all over that.

I was so happy the day my brother bought Irregular Hunter X. Add X collection coming in that day, I was in euphoria. :3

I've almost beat it with X already (just need to beat Sigma), and I must say they've done really well with it. Usually re-makes aren't very good, but this one was beautifully done.

It totally owns my soul.

Unfortunately I don't own a PSP, nor do I ever have plans to buy one. It is just too expensive and way too complicated to do the thing I want to get out of it, PLAY GAMES!! I've been told you have to constantly update the system otherwise you won't be able to play new games, which is whacked. And then you have outrageously priced movies that are bare bones, needed to be watched on the PSP only, with audio only coming out of that little speaker. Oh, and music downloads. Don't get me started on the cost of the stupid memory cards.

Anyway, I'm going off topic too much. This game does look cool, but seeing as how I just got 6 X games for $30, and this is one (2 if you count Vile's as a seperate game) for $30, I think I got the better deal.

Hmm, while getting X 1-6 in the collection is a decent deal, I would still rather play MHX. The amount of story involved in the original games was a little bare I think. I like that the more modern games are giving us things like character development and a deeper storyline. I don't even recall the original Megaman X metioning what role Vile actually played. He was just there in a big, nasty ride armor and got in the way. There was a little bit of dialogue, but there was no meaning to it. When the series for MHX is available on something other than the PSP, I'll be looking for it.

I got the game the oter day too, and OH MY GOD! It was awesome, more detail to the X Series indeed, and I agree with Ryo, it was just beautiful watching that game that I had a orgasm! LOL

The dubbing rocked all the day (though i liked X4 Sigma's voice better then this one) but everything else rocked (NEED A X ANIME NOW!)

I already beat the X Side yesterday, and it was just friggin awesome, I won't go into detail to give spoilers but I liked the changes to Sigma's palace Smile very very awesome!

By the way....

Anyone know how to rip movies from the PSP disc, I wanna rip the Day of Sigma Movie from the game to a DVD, i rather watch it on my TV and get the full effect Razz

Anyways AWESOME GAME! Can't wait for Maverick Hunter X2!

you would probably need an emulator to rip the movie, sadly.

so, how good are the cutscenes? they look pretty sweet to me.

Cutscenes are top-notch. Much higher in quality than the budget-rate X4 stuff. The best one there was the Zero vs. Sigma fight, which was really kind of average by most standards.

If they do that for an MHX4, then I expect all kinds of awesome. If there were any battles you really liked in the Rockman.EXE movie, I'd expect at least that good if they keep this up, given it's the same company and all.

As for Sigma's voice, I liked it. He sounded like a person, not so much a villain. Kind of a gruff, seasoned commander who one can respect, as opposed to the psychotic X8 or the "bad guy trying to be a good guy" of X4; in truth, he doesn't sound particularly villainous in voice or in tone, but by his words... and that's how I like it.

what

He's the purple Boba Fett-ish guy in the first game, the blue one in the third, and he's in X8 with green armor.

I've got a quick question. Before this game was released, I saw a report on IGN's website saying that apparently a few of the bosses in the game underwent a design change (in the way they look). Which boss's appearances were changed?

All of them.

Except for the Palace bosses, theirs were minor if at all.

I was wondering about that. At least that explains why I received character sketches for IHX in my EXE batch. O.o;
