An article on GameSpot says that this new pokemon game can delete saved games in the GBA slot

Bug in Pokémon: Fushigi no Dungeon Blue for DS may erase saved information on Game Boy Advance cartridges.
TOKYO--In Japan, Nintendo has sent a warning to consumers that the latest Pokémon game for the DS, Pokémon: Fushigi no Dungeon Blue, may accidentally wipe out saved data on Game Boy Advance cartridges. The company will be shipping out bug-free replacements soon.
Nintendo simultaneously released two versions of Fushigi no Dungeon on November 17 in Japan--one for the DS (Fushigi no Dungeon Blue) and one for the GBA (Fushigi no Dungeon Red). The DS version accesses the handheld's GBA slot so that if players also have the GBA version inserted, they can play with data from the cartridge. However, a problem with the game can delete saved data if an unrelated GBA game is present in the slot instead.
Nintendo states that the issue can be avoided by making sure that unrelated GBA games aren't inserted in the DS while playing Fushigi no Dungeon Blue and also says that there are no issues as long as the GBA game is Fushigi no Dungeon Red. But for consumers who are having problems, the company will replace their copy of Fushigi no Dungeon Blue with a free fixed edition, which is expected to ship around December 8. Consumers can apply online for the replacement on Nintendo's official Web site.

I'm afraid that small posts like that are spam... please say something if you're gonna post.
Thanks for the info. They'll probably release the fixed ones here, but if they don't I'll keep that in mind. |

Thanks for pointing that out...I was thinking of giving that game as a gift :O This story reminds me of that Missing No. bug in the first Pokemon games, which caused my Gameboy to act up...not to mention the bug that allowed Ash's rival Gary to be captured as a Pokemon. _________________ Better to keep your mouth shut and make people wonder if you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. |

I sure hope it isn't transfered to the English version. Remember the Berry Bug from Ruby and Sapphire? _________________

I haven't got to check out much about it, but Serebii.net has decent info and PICs regarding it. I just never have the time to click on them all.[/url] _________________

Assuming you mean difference between the versions, then the only main difference is the few usual tradable Pokemon.
However, this time around you can use codes to get dungeons with the pokemon from the other version, so you can do that over the internet. The only thing left is a special dungeon you get from linking the two versions, so it's safe to get the GBA version if this bug continues to the english version.
Also, there's a few things with interface that the DS one uses the second screen for. |

I think you navagate around areas as a Pokemon, and theres no Trainer. I dont know too much about it myself. but I really wanna play it.
Though I do hope the english versions don't carry the bug. I doubt they will, but you never know...
As for Missingno... I love that thing...I catch it sometimes for fun, but I never save it after I catch it... >> _________________

For users of this game: BE CAREFULL | Wow... I didn't realize that was gonna be so serious... usually, old Pokemon games like for GB always does that--data erased automatically... Hope everything turns out to be okay soon. _________________ Could you just STAY OUT this time, please!? -admin |

Where does it say that? The article clearly states it will "delete saved data if an unrelated GBA game is present in the slot instead."

Wow...I CAN'T EVEN MAKE OUT WHAT YOU'RE SAYING HERE. Full English sentences, PLEASE. How is this serious? There was a defect, okay. It was fixed and NoJ replaced the defective games for free. Two months ago. Then, how do "old Pokemon games like for GB" erase themselves? I didn't know this was a recurring thing. Hope things turn out to be OK? Probably. As the article clearly said, again, "the company will replace their copy of Fushigi no Dungeon Blue with a free fixed edition."

NO.
Okay everybody, let's recap:
1) THIS ARTICLE PERTAINS TO THE JAPANESE VERSION ONLY, AND ONLY TO CARTS PRODUCED BEFORE DECEMBER 8TH, 2005.
2) THE ERROR HAS BEEN RECTIFIED AND NINTENDO HAS REPLACED/IS REPLACING DEFECTIVE CARTS.
3) THE DATA ERASURE HAPPENS DOES NOT JUST HAPPEN TO POKEMON GAMES. READ THE ARTICLE.
4) OTHER THAN IN THIS CASE, GAMES DO NOT MAGICALLY ERASE THEMSELVES.
*heaves*
caps lock tastic.
and finally
5) I am 99% SURE that none or very very few of the people who have posted in this topic own a legal (that means for your DS, NOT for your computer, kids! :D) imported copy of Fushigi no Dungeon Blue, Japanese version. I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that few or none of you speak Japanese, tend to import games from Japan knowing that they will likely be released in English, or even bothered to read more than the first line of that article.
No more inane posts please, or this topic will be locked. Are we clear? _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

Unless their batteries have run out, in which case the save will not keep. Or, unless you have a pirate copy, like my 3 Blue which I got in a Shanghai Market. It's erased it's data 3 times so far, twice after I'd beaten Forte GS no less!
On a side not, as Izu said this is OLD. I knew about this ages ago. _________________

So they're sending fixed copies to people who live in countries other than Japan, too? _________________ 「無一物」
