Well, if we're going into specific Pokémon/movesets...

Marshstomp - Surf, Earthquake, two other moves that I forgot
Alakazam - Fire Punch, Psychic, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch
Salamence - Flamethrower, Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Fly (>_>)
Metagross - Meteor Mash, Earthquake, Psychic, Agility
Breloom - Spore, Focus Punch, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain
Starmie - Ice Beam, Psychic, Surf, Thunderbolt

Yes, I overindulge in sweepers, especially in special. Probably because most of my opponents here are very predictable little kids who I can wipe out quite quickly. >_>

Do you mind if I ask why you have a SlowPOKE on there?

Contrary to what the anime would have you believe, Pokemon are FAR stronger in their evolved forms than not.

I have multiple teams, but for now, I'll just settle with giving out my Colosseum story mode crew. All of them are of course at the 100 mark.

Umbreon(Moonshadow) @ Leftovers - Mean Look, Confuse Ray, Toxic, Moonlight
Typhlosion(Homura) @ Shell Bell - Flamethrower, Thunderpunch, Body Slam, Sunny Day
Ampharos(Beacon) @ Brightpowder - Thunderbolt, Firepunch, Protect, Rain Dance
Octillery(Suisensha) @ Scope Lens - Surf, Ice Beam, Flamethrower, Thunder Wave
Stantler(Tonicho) @ King's Rock - Shadow Ball, Facade, Confuse Ray, Light Screen
Forretress(Rashield) @ Soft Sand - Earthquake, Spikes, Rapid Spin, Rock Slide

Some sweeping, some annoyance, all around whoopass.

Well then. So we would have:

Mawile

Ancientpower
Iron Defense
Confuse Ray
[Filler Move]

Umbreon

Confuse Ray
Mean Look
Toxic
Wish (I find this a mite stronger IMO)

But if you're looking into SPECIAL defense and don't mind using legendaries, go for Regice. Razz

better use moonlight for umbreon...!!!
or you can add him toxic

I already have Toxic as a move in there. >_> And I prefer to be more consistent because of the 'time of day' factor with Moonlight, IIRC.

NJ, note that many of the newer games (Colo, XD, FR, LG) do not use "Time of Day" in any way. The difference made if how moves like Morning Sun and Moonlight work is the weather.

Morning Sun gets powered up by Sunny Day and is weakened by Rain Dance
Moolight gets powered up by Rain Dance and is weakened by Sunny Day

...Though I haven't tested to see if other weather conditions(Sandstorm, Hail, etc...) have any effect.

Aside from all of this, Wish is a move gotten through breeding and some people really don't care for that aspect of the game, so Moonlight is their only choice for that moveset.

Yes, thanks for reminding me about the new status of Moonlight in FR and LG. I don't play either Colo or XD, so I don't know about either of those. As for the move obtained by breeding, sometimes that's how bored I get. Razz It is true that Moonlight would be a move that most people would use, though.

I don't bother with Moonlight... my favourite Umbreon moveset is:

Sand Attack/Toxic
Confuse Ray
Screech
Headbutt

Because it annoys the crap out of people >D

Mmmm.... I'd stick with Toxic there. Perhaps Mean Look, too, to annoy them even further so they can't escape? XP I'm also pretty sure there's another possible move for Umbreon too?

Yeah, I agree with the sticking to toxic there... looks like a fun moveset, I'm always fond of the Toxic/Confuse Ray stuff.

Well, stuff like toxic anyways... my favorite one is Will o' Wisp/Confuse Ray Dusclops. That kinda stuff is about twice as fun when you've got insane defense and the most annoying healing technique known to videogame programmers.

Well on Netbattle I kinda switched again (I can never find a good team for me =(.)

So at this moment my team is:

Miltank
Aggron
Lapras
Gengar
Togetic
Dunsparce

Yeah yeah, I'll probably change it again <.<.

Hate to say it, but anyone who puts an offensive move on an Umbreon won't get far in serious play. It's just not made for straight-up attacking, even with aid from Screech.

The fact is that the strategy is all over the place like this. Not to mention that Sand Attack won't work on Flying types.

If you don't want a healing move, then I suggest Toxic/Confuse Ray/Mean Look/Double Team.

I just give my pokemon the moves I like. It's terrible for any sort of strategy, but it's fun to see the animations. I often go for raw power of the moves.

Gonna have to disagree with you, MDX. Aggron doesn't have the special attack stat for it, so Surf is wasted on him. Not to mention that Follow Me is a waste of an attack, since a smart opponent will know to take out Togetic first thing. I'd suggest the following:

Aggron: Earthquake, Metal Claw, Double-Edge/Rock Slide, Protect

Notes: Metal Claw for STAB and to boost attack every so often, EQ for a power move. Double-Edge if you have the Rock Head ability or high HPs (Else use Rock Slide for more STABing), and Protect.

Miltank: Earthquake, Shadow Ball, Protect, Milk Drink/Heal Bell

Notes: EQ and Protect make for great combo play with Aggron, Shadow Ball to take out those pesky ghosts, and one cleric move of your choice.

Lapras: Surf, Thunderbolt, Confuse Ray, Ice Beam

Notes: Surf and Ice Beam for STAB, Thunderbolt to mess with other water-types and Confuse Ray to annoy.

Gengar: Night Shade, Psychic, Toxic, and Thunderbolt/Fire Punch/Giga Drain

Notes: Night Shade is NASTY against heavy hitters like Snorlax and Blissey, Psychic makes good use of Gengar's high special attack, Toxic to annoy and one of the other moves to aid against any other type you might be wary of.

Togetic: Encore, Safeguard, Sunny Day, Flamethrower

Notes: This is really the only good moveset I can reccommend for Togetic. It doesn't have very good stats in any field. Safeguard and Sunny Day will aid the rest of your team, and Encore and Flamethrower are just filler moves which will most likely not see any action since Togetic will usually crumble after one attack.

Dunsparce: Headbutt, Water Pulse, Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Flamethrower, Ice Beam/ThunderBolt/Flamethrower

Notes: Dunsparce has pretty OK stats in everything except speed, so a pure power set can work for him. He also has the awesome Serene Grace ability which doubles the chances of any aftereffect(Like Headbutt's chance to flinch a foe). Headbutt for flinching and STAB, Water Pulse to confuse, and two of the three listed moves for their various aftereffects.

All in all, it's a very "Meh" group. You've got two normal types, which means that one or two fighting types could mess you up rather badly, and Togetic, whose stats really don't make it suitable for battling(It's more of a Pokemon best suited for contests).

Thunder has the same problem as Surf. Aggron's Special Attack stat is too low for the move to be useful.

And like I said, Togetic tends to get knocked out in a single attack. It doesn't need Follow Me unless you're really planning to have it suicide itself.
