Stream 25: Terrible Birthday Present! (spoilers)

This episode begins wit Yuriko, sitting in the rain, all by herself. She seems very lonely. Then, a cute little cat walks up to her, and Yuriko picks the cat up. The two become friends.

Meanwhile, in the giant building of Neo WWW, a huge banner with an 8 is hung up. Gauss Magnets removes the 8, revealing 7 days left till Tesla's birthday. Tesla sits in her 'throne', awaiting the gifts from her loyal subjects. Sunyama gives her a free coupon of some sorts, Inukai gives her rice, Narcy some pots with some stuff, and Rei gives her three sweets. Tesla of course thinks these are poor gifts, but the WWW comment that they don't have that much to spend. Then, Gauss enters. He gives Tesla a Synchro Chip, and she looks somewhat happier. Looks like she WILL get herself nice presents...

Next, it is night. Asteroid Beastman has appeared in town and Inukai seems to have stolen some chips from Higureya (only three though). Netto arrives and starts fighting Beastman, but before the fight is even started, a flare ignites, and Beastman plugs out, much to Netto's anger.

Next morning, on the way to school, Netto complains that he is tired because he had to wake up last night to fight Beastman, who didn't even really fight at all. As they talk as to why Beastman would have plugged out so suddenly, Mariko seems tired to. Netto asks why and Mariko comments she has been thinking a lot of Yuriko lately and what she has been doing. Netto thinks of telling her he saw Yuriko some time ago, but he doesn't tell her.

Yuriko is sitting in the park, feeding her cat. Not much special here.

At the Neo WWW headquarters, the 5 (I don't know why it's a five now) is removed, and only 4 days are left till Tesla's actual birthday. Tesla comments it's Narcy's and Videoman's turn, and so Narcy appears in town, in the middle of the night. Netto performs Cross Fusion, starts fighting, but once again a flare shows up, and Videoman logs out.

Same next night. Only 3 days left. Desertman appears in town. Flare ignites. Netto is getting more and more pissed off now.

Next night. 2 days left. Enter Flashman. Flare. Netto is REALLY ANGRY now.

Next morning, Manabe comments that something has been happening over the past few nights. Odd things were stolen. These include three chips, a Bonsai tree, a fish and a toilet with fur on it. Whatever the reason may be, Manabe sees only one explanation for this. It must be Yuriko's doing. She must have joined the Neo WWW, and while they distract Rockman, she can steal the stuff. Since Yuriko is the only unrelieable person who can perform Cross Fusion, this seems like the only explanation. Misaki, however, who is also there, doesn't believe this, and Netto als has his doubts. They decide to do some research on the subject, just in case....

Next night. 1 day left. Beastman appears but Netto tells him he won't perform Cross Fusion, since Beastman will leave within three seconds anyway. Somewhat further away, Yuriko whitnisses a flash, from Cross Fusion. She plugs Needleman in for research. A flare iginites and once again Beatman plugs out. That night, the entire museum has been robbed. Manabe has no doubts: it had to be Yuriko.

Finally, the day arrives! Tesla's birthday! Tesla now has all presents from the museum, and the other things stolen earlier. She comments on how she loves her synchro chip, and that she now finally can take care of Rockman. She will do so tonight, that will be the ultimate birthday present.

Yuriko stands on the street with her cat, saying 'Mariko...'

Videoman appears and starts doing some random destruction. Netto is angry and calls out for Yuriko, who he now also suspects as the criminal. But then, Tesla appears. She tells all about what happened, and shows the synchro chip. She slots it in (no hensin sequence Sad

), and starts fighting with a Magball. Misaki and Manabe, who were watching from a distance, were also surprised that she had managed to develop a working synchro chip, and realize that Yuriko wan't the villain after all!

Meanwhile, Yuriko has entered Mariko's room. Mariko seems asleep, and Yuriko tells her cat to be quiet. Mariko wakes up however, and asks Yuriko to stay. Yuriko says 'okay, sis...'

CF Rockman is fighting with CF Magnetman, and is losing. But there are more problems, cause all the asteroid navi's also appear on the scene! Netto can never win this battle!

Mariko and Yuriko are enjoying a cup of tea. Yuriko lets Mariko do the talking, but seems happy to finally talk with her sister again. The cat has gotten some milk and a camera lies on the table. Suddenly, Yuriko hears an explosion. She says she has to go.

CF Magnetman is about to finish Netto off with a sword, but then... CF Needleman intervenes! CF Needleman says she will take care of CF Magnetman, Netto will have to take care of the Asteroid Navi's. Netto takes out the Asteroid navi's with little trouble.

Yuriko fights against CF Magnetman with swords against needles, and seems to win. But then, CF Magnetman performs the NS Tackle. It doesn't prove much trouble to CF Needleman though, she easily cuts her swords, and sends CF Magnetman out of Cross Fusion.

Tesla is trying to get up, but then, Gauss shows up and knocks her unconciuous with a frying pan, and takes her in his arms, dramatically shouting 'what have they done to you?!'. The both of them then escape in the sewers. Misaki asks Yuriko to stay, but Yuriko runs away. It is just not the right time yet.

Next afternoon, in the building of Neo WWW, Tesla complains about her failure. She has a bag of ice on her head, and tells that she would have won if it wasn't for Yuriko. The bags snaps, getting her soaking wet!

In Mariko's house, we see the empty table were Mariko and Yuriko had some tea. A picture lies there, from the two of them together, happily.

Also how ugly is R-Magnet?

This sounds like a fairly decent ep, there was at least some more development for Yuriko.

For a second I thought this episode would go from comedic to actiony, and then serious and storywise. Now I can see that the whole pathos behind this one was all comedy. i can possibly see Tesla becoming a good guy in the future, Megaman gets Magnet Soul, and Tesla gets a Crest of Duo for being able to Cross Fuse and be a good guy. Wee >>

I don't think the anime writers care too much about elemental powers in the series though. Remember how Magnetman got whomped by three little Aqua navis? It sounds like the CF chicks were pretty evenly matched for a while, though of course Needle wins in the end. I think the only elemental weakness to know about in this series is that characters of the "good" element have a natural advantage against those of the "evil" element. :P

Yup, surprisingly, Needleman is a wood-type...so is Planetman...

There have been a lot of cases of navis being defeated by those who should be considered "weaker" or "at a disadvantage"

-Freezeman was nearly deleted by Heatman (and deleted by Shadowman who uses Fire attacks)
-Wood Shield Rockman couldn't do much to Magnetman
-Magnetman was deleted by Aqua Custom Rockman
-Heatman was beaten by Plantman
-Magnetman was beaten by Bubbleman, Iceman, and Aquaman.
-Woodman took a lot of damage from Sparkman

Tesla looks a LOT like a ninja when in Cross-Fusion...I dunno why...

They really could have done a lot more to make R-Magnetman look more like Magnetman...the helmet looks like it was taken from Magnet Soul. XD

I loved the picture at the end...it looked so pretty. ;-;

Something odd I saw in the previews last episode. Anyone else think that the cat that yuriko takes care of looks EXATLY like Merius kitten from the episode "Rush runs away"????

Also this sounds like a funny and cool episode. Can't wait to download it

It does appear that Yuriko is leaning towards the good guy side. I'm still not sure about Wily though (he seems to want to aid the heroes, but chances are good that it's just a cover until Duo goes away). I never thought Needleman was an earth elemental navi. I guess it makes sense since needles are nature related.

Now that Telsa can cf, she'll probably be causing a whole lot of damage. It would be cool if some of the other Neo W3 members could cross fuse. I wouldn't mind seeing a R Flashman or R Videoman just for the fun of it. =P

Certainly a break from the more Navi-ish CFs R MM, R PM and R Searchy featured, just as Aqua Soul was minimally AquaMan.

That's not R-Magnet Man, it's R-Eddie!
I think it looked like Tesla fused with Eddie from MM Classic more than Magnet Man....
