Wonder if this means we'll get some subs? XD I wish. However, looks like 4 kids has lost its golden goose.

Cool! So that means, in one year, anyone can download episodes of Pokemon off the internet? Wow..I thought that Pokemon would never be unlicensed.

Well, this is sudden. This may be goos news for subbers but what about the kiddies? I wonder how will they react to this? Since it's being continued in the original version, fans: adapt to the original. Still... *shock*

I could've sworn that it switched over to Nintendo. It's not unliscenced now, is it? But I am glad that 4kids is no longer there to butcher it.

Hopefully they don't get someone worse to dub it.

This is certainly an interesting turn of events...

I have to admit that I grew up with the Pokemon dub, and I thought it was done somewhat well. We can certainly expect some groups to jump right on the raws and attempt to sub, but it's likely that this situation will be similar to that of Axess--Pokemon as a whole on the WB is FAR too popular to drop completely.

I do echo the hope that the quality of the dub does not fall with this switch...

Didn't see that coming. Maybe they'll lose One Piece too, and Viz'll dub it. *is overly hopeful* Like Midnight said, the show is far too popular to be completely dropped. I stopped watching he show when they got to Tate and Liza, it just got way to repetitive.

It isn't licensed? Awesome. Some good dubbers better get it soon or else it'll just go into obscurity or be relicensed (is that a word?) to 4-kids, and continue to be repetitive. I stopped watching it after Team Rocket lost Lickitung... or before so too. Been watching it off and on, though. When did Ash start getting dumber?

The license's wearing off next year, not in 2006. People will have to wait a little bit more to start subbing.

The News was given out December 23rd of last year and they said they'd drop it the 31st of last year. The License has already expired, however it has been said elsewhere that someone else might have picked up the license. I'm not to sure.

But yes, it has been unlicensed, but I think they still need to finish showing all the shows they have dubbed so far. Thus, they are showing 2 at a time on weekends til they finish.

Although this is certainly good news for the fansubbers/fans, it'll obviously take much time before it can be done so - as was said previously by Dark Liger and others, probably in several months' time. One can only hope.

I myself found the original Pokémon dub to be quite interesting... although the quality of the episodes dropped dramatically in the second season. At least, that's what I found. >_>

Someone else will, or everyone will ignore it. It would be nice if we could get someone to license it and do it properly so we could get some DVDs w/subs.

Strange that 4Kids is letting the license expire... they could squeeze more money out of it.

4-Kids is still doing the dubbing of the series, they just no longer own the licence(So they can't release DVDs ect)

reason i stopped watching pokemon was it was just too full of filler eps.Frig i dont want to see some guy who might have potential character development go to waste for one ep and never come back again
