Cute lineart style ^^ And I for one can NOT CG in any way, shape, or form (I can barely single-color a space, especially if the pic was handdrawn beforehand XD; ), so that got a couple points. And as for a program better than Paint, what about The Gimp? It's not as good as Photoshop, but it's levels above paint, and it's free. And what I use ^^ (Which means I can help if you need it.) It's good for making banners and things too; I use it for everything in that department except text. Anyway, in case you're curious... http://www.gimp.org/
But yeah, more on topic, I like the lineart, and the color ^^ Just work on proportions a bit more, and you'll be set. _________________

I like your ideas. They're very creative. ^^ Constructive critique ahead.
It could use a bit of work in proportions and such. The lineart is quite a bit wobbly- I'm not sure how you do the lineart, but it looks as if you did it with a mouse. Try making the lineart cleaner- it may take some patience, but it's usually worth it in the end result. Also, in relating to proportions... I would try working on the size of the head, as you make the heads rather large and circle-like; try looking at other anime pics for reference and try to get an idea. I really do like how you draw eyes, however the nose and mouth should be further down, I think. In relation to the somewhat large heads, it seems that you sometimes make the shoulders too... hm, broad. It would look a little better if you didn't make the arms hang down so far away from the body- if you stand up and look at yourself in the mirror, you'll see that the arms are rather close to your sides in such a position. So, try to work on the things I pointed out.
Hope I didn't sound harsh or anything. I sometimes tend to sound so when I'm giving constructive critique, so I hope you don't take it the wrong way. ^^;; I'm really fond of your ideas, though- you have unique character designs, and I respect the fact that you put so much time into your work. _________________

its ok, thats some really good advice, i had already seen the fact that the arms are too far away from the body, and the sholders being broad, i keep trying, and i can't seem to fix it, i'll keep working, the reason i don't show hands in my pictures..well...i'ts embarresing, i can't draw them. -_-; the head? oh i've already been working on that, i'm just CGIing the pictures i scanned in, im improving along the way, i just gotta keep going at it, and sorry if i draw the heads in a round instead of ovaline, been playing too much maplestory, and i already look at other pics for refrances, i don't fish without a hook, im CGIing the pics i have before i draw more, cause that just adds to the pile, and believe me, i am NOT showing the work before i finish it, it usualy looks like CRAP.
and thanks for saying im crative, i really am, i make fan fics, but they're really crazy
EDIT: and yes, i do use a mouse, FEAR ME!!! _________________

XD I try to avoid showing hands in my drawings as much as possible as well. They're a pain in the arse to draw, and if I do happen to get them right, there's usually a rather large chance that it took me hours to perfect them. I'm extremely critisizing (sp?) towards my work. XP
Oh, and if you're having problems with proportions and stuff, I can understand. They're a huge pain to perfect. I would try using some manga-drawing books, though they're expensive- if you've already tried those, you could also go to polykarbon.com. They have some really good tutorials. _________________
