Aw. The get to make money off its syndication, but they don't care about the DVDs. That makes sense. Japanese pokemon is a hundred times better than US Pokemon anyways. Who's Harley? Never heard of that guy.

This is kinda...really...old news >_>;; But yeah, this is also most likely why they're trying to pimp out their Yu-Gi-Oh! properties as well as produce the new Capsule Monster show. With this done, they be able to dub the anime, but they're not gonna be making any money off of the billions of dollars spouted out from the merchandise. I keep trying to convince myself that this would be a perfect catalyst for them to make uncut DVDs (which people will actually BUY, unlike the edited ones that FUNimation is sick and tired of putting on the ZStore) but the sad fact is that they have no interest in that. I was assuming another dubbing agency would pick it up, possibly one in New York that could get the original cast to play everyone for the sake of continuity, but it 4Kids is still going to be dubbing it, then there's not gonna be much difference.

Oh and feepitsrule, I assume that means you automatically think the EXE anime became 'bad' when a character like Narcy came in? T.T

The main license has transferred over to Pokemon Company.

And there's no chance in hell of there ever being uncut DVDs, so stop hoping for them.

People are subbing it, ever so slowly... episodes 1-16 of Advanced Generation are out, along with movies 5-8.

And Harley is Super Ghey. Women run screaming when he approaches.

I've ALREADY given up hope on them. All I'm saying is that this, in retrospect, would've been a good oppourtunity for them to make more of them in order to make up for the lost money with Pokemon, even though I know they're not going to >_>

Really? I think they went talks really female sounding. With a high pitch and everything. But I have to agree, harley is like half of narcy. The only person on pokemon that's more narcy-like is tucker from the emerald games.

By 'talks like a girl,' I mean really really really high pitched. Even more than a girl's, if I say so myself.

And I must agree, Tucker is 'girly' as well. He's actually more of the 'girly' stereotype than most girls I know.

Harley was a dude in the Japanese version but 4kids made him wierd. Now this liscence has almost expired this means that we can see subs. And maybe get a decent dub sooner or later.

Really don't think Pokemon is that bad of a dub. Comparing to something like Yu-Gi-Oh, it's really something a lot better. Even though I did say Zatch Bell is well dubbed, I still think Pokemon is better dubbed.

Seriously, Satoshi --> Ash isn't that bad. >_> And all the voices are acceptable, not to mention the theme songs are actually quite catchy.

As attached as many people have gotten to the series, to be honest, Pokemon is in all honesty about as 'altered' as any of 4Kids' other properties. Even in the earlier episodes...

I actually love the dub. I think its one of the best out there, and contrary to popular beleif I enjoy watching stuff in my native language. However, it *is* nice to have subs, just to watch to hear the original names and voices. Maybe that's just me, but I like to see both versions of most shows. I.E. I perfer watching Trigun in english but that didn't keep me from going through the whole series subbed as well.
