http://www.polykarbon.com/japan/language.htm Unfortunately, it only has letters. I suggest you get a dictionary.
And, if all else fails, go here.-->http://web-jpn.org/kidsweb/say.html It has basic stuff, and it even has pronunciations! A gem for those wanting to learn Japanese. _________________

Warning: The second link is very childish, as it was made for kids. _________________

I did almost 6 years of self-study but never got beyond some vocabulary and the writing system.
Only when I started attending classes did I get so far.
In any language, you'll have to learn from somebody fluent so the subtle differences can be explained fully.
... besides the Japanese being strict about their "rank-language" rules -_-; _________________ TGS 2007:MISSED! T_T |

I think the problem is the grammar. It's rules are different enough from most other languages that it's hard to pick up without some explaination from someone that understands it. |

Quite so. Japanese dictionaries are quite common. You should have no problem finding one.
However, a dictionary or website isn't going to teach you the language, at least not very well. Hell, I took four semesters in university in Japanese, and I still have a lot to learn.
If you really want to learn, pick up a dictionary as well as a books created for the purpose of teaching the language; it's grammar, structure, syntax, etc. They should also be easy to find. _________________

Does this anime use katakana or Hirigana. And for the games, wich one are they? |

Not sure what you mean. All animes use hiragana -and- katakana I suppose; they're just two different writing systems. you can find examples of both in the Rockman opening/closing themes. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

I think it's a waste of time to learn a language just to watch cartoons and just plain retarded to think you can learn it over the internet -- What is it with waps anyway? _________________ Here's lookin' at you kid. |

Jo, be nice. :P Everyone's reasons for learning something new are different, you shouldn't judge someone against theirs just because it may be for a recreational purpose. I think it's good that some people take the time to at least try to understand some of the basics of something as difficult as a new language.
Shadien - The uses of katakana or hiragana depends on the situation it calls for. Katakana is generally used to spell out a word that is borrowed from another language, such as english, or for personal names or places. A good example of this would be something like Rockman's name, which is spelled ロックマン (rokkuman) in katakana. Besides hiragana and katakana, you also have kanji, which are far more complex chinese characters.
You can probably find a much better explanation by simply googling it, too. :P _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great. When you go talk to them, it doesn't go so well." - Miyamoto

ロ (ro) ッ (k) ク (ku) マ (ma) ン (n)
From wikipedia:
A small tsu ッ called a sokuon indicates a geminate consonant, which is represented in rōmaji by doubling the following consonant. For example, bed is written in katakana as ベッド (beddo). _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great.
