"Brother Dearest"

Wow, you know, I was bored yesterday and randomly picked a fic on ff.net to read... and it was this one!
I rather like this, it's very good! I like Netto and Saito's relationship, it's very... realistic, I suppose. As cool as it would be to have a twin, I'd image you'd get pretty sick of them sometimes. In fact, I have twin cousins, and at times you can't even imagine that they could be related... it's funny. Still, they have their good moments and will always be sisters. This is why I thought the soccer scene in the backyard was very sweet! Deep down, they really do like one another.
This should be an interesting story. I reaaaally don't think the whole switching-places thing would work (despite what the movies say), buuut.. It's a lighthearted story, it doesn't need a serious plot with evil and badguys and stuff.

Oh, and also? Dex playing DDR = SCARY. Flippin' scary. We had some... how shall I say this... horizontally challenged people that came to our DDR Club all the time last year and... Well, you'd think if they played as much and well as they did, they wouldn't be... so...
Oh well.

Wow, weird coincidence. Thanks for reading it, though! I appreciate your response and stuff. I have cousins who are twins, too, heh. Have you ever seen DDR masters playing that game? It's scary. I went to an arcade once, and there was this guy playing who didn't make a single miss the whole ten minutes I was standing there. And I agree. Let's try not to visualize Dex and DDR any more than we have to... =O

Hmm.

I do believe this is the first work I've read under your penmanship...so I'll say what I can.

Your style of writing is very lucid. It's easy to follow along as well as easy to visualize. The manner in which you wrote the "notes" is quite nice, as it adds a touch of realism to the mix.

I am a bit uneasy with the whole concept, though. The EXE universe and our universe are rather disparate, and having elements of one in the other is somewhat uneasy. I felt as if you pulled the EXE characters into our universe, and I don't see the characters playing GBAs, when it seems that their technology is more advanced.

Other than that, this was a good first read. Good work.

From what I've read so far (first chapter- I'm kind of busy) this seems to be a really great fic! I like the characterizations, and the brother to brother relationship too. And the part about the Pokemon cracked me up. It was fun to read, and as soon as I get time I'll get down to reading to next few chapters.
