I've tried to get into it, I have a friend on Battle.net who plays almost nothing but DotA who got me to play a few games, but the lanes are a bit of a turn-off for me. It usually ends up being a duel between heros rather than a strategic fight between armies. Blizzard's Candy War does the same thing as DotA, but does it better.
