Net Navi Question.

Do Net Navis have to eat, sleep. ect. too?
Why where the World Three Net Navis making curry in the virtual world
if Net Navis don't eat? Is it just because their operators do it? Why was Rockman soo tired from looking after trill, it looked like he needed sleep....

Please Answer...I'm a little confused here!

Apparently Navis have their own virtual batteries and need to recharge every once and a while... they can 'eat' 'food' and they need 'sleep' to recharge themselves... it's kind of an inconvinient set up... but I guess it just makes them more realistic.

They definetely need to recharge. Food, I guess is a extra.

If you've played BN4 (Blue Moon for me), you'd know that the navis would have to make curry in the cyber-world so the cooking machines in the real world would make curry too. >.>

Well, as Enzan stated, navis are rather self-sufficient--they will live off of their own innate energy resources, and like all sources of energy, they must be recharged at some point. You can also consider their "sleep" cycles as a regenerative period, where damage can be repaired, either by the navi itself, or expedited by assistance of the operator.

As for food and drink, the anime and games do not really make any reference to those things being necessary. They are very likely cosmetic additions, meant to make navis appear more like their human operators by emulating their behavior.

if not 100% sure if the navi ever eat, but in Axess episode #22, they do drink cyberwater.

Which poses the question... where DOES that food go after they eat it?

Someone once said that it would be kinda incovienant for a Navi to be taking a leak during an emergency, so like I assume that they just eat to please their ops, there's no digestive system for them, although they probably have organs where the cyber sun don't shine.

Actually, I believe in one of the Mangas, I believe it's in battle Story, it's hinted that Rockman can eat and drink as well as sleep... in a bed for that matter.

I know that Rockman can sleep since in one of the early EXE eps Netto finally makes it to school on time,but its a saturday,and when Netto looks at the PET Rockman is just waking up.

I'm still curious to where the food goes. Even if they're just eating to please their ops, the food has to go somewhere. I'm sure it's possible that when eating and drinking cyber, digitized food and liquids, it just magically "vanishes," or is used to relinquish and strengthen their structure (just like the nutrients in real food does for our bodies), so there doesn't have to be any waste created. But what about the real food that navis eat when in the real world (as with Rush and (Beast spoilers) [spoil:803c476bc4]Iris[/spoil:803c476bc4])? Where does that go?

I guess it's just another thing that can't be explained, kind of like how half of a Cross Fused human's arm magically vanishes to make room for a Sword battle chip (it looks especially strange when the sword breaks and their missing half an arm and a hand)... or any arm-based battle chip, for that matter.

Maybe the writers want us to assume that net navi technology is too far beyond our grasp, and that basically navis are so advanced that anything that applies to a human applies to a navi as well (and, in turn, applies in reverse order with a Cross Fused human).

I think that probably would be the reason. Curious how Navis arms do morph into the weapon they're going to use that's embebed in their arms. But in cross fusion it 'overlaps' and magicaly replaces the arm.

Well with navis and food on the internet it's just data so it goes to reenergize the navi. But with the navis that can go into the real world, I don't know.
That sounds like it works doesn't it.

Well... when you think about it, maybe it works like in Back to the Future II. Where waste and trash were used as an energy source for vehicles. The cars didn't emit gasses or waste either. So maybe it would be the same thing with Navis eating in the real world, they absorb all of what they eat, unlike us.

Hell if I know but... if Fireman can drink despite the fact he apparently has no mouth -and from what I was told it's a fact Fireman confesses his love to drink booze in EXE 4.5 Real Operation; One could think he can also eat, and so could flashman and other 'mouthless' navis.
