I still don't know how people get so hyped over a system that can play video and music files when the freaking Memory Stick costs like 500 dollars (That's if you have a movie with more than 100MB of course...which is about...ALL of them....give or take...) Plus, the UMD DVDs cost 30-50 bucks a pop. Plus the games cost 40-60 a pop....AND combine the price of the PSP itself and what do you get?
....A fancier N-Gage without the phone part.... |

Y'know what I think? No offence to Sony fans, but I think Sony is full of selfish people and that they make the consoles/handhelds faulty so you either buy another one or just go pro-some other game company

Actually, I think it's just Sony's video game division (Sony Computer Entertainment or something like that). All their other products are pretty good (albeit expensive), but their Playstation line is INFAMOUS for shoddy construction of early models and being rushed out with no intention of actually making a good product, just to make a quick buck. Plus they're also infamous for overhyping and exaggerating system specs. They originally said the PS2 will be able to handle 100 million polygons, then upon release, people found that it couldn't even handle 10 million. I honestly wouldn't be suprised if that was true. I always see reviewers that say a PS2-exclusive game sucks, then give it a 2 out of 5 "for effort." And it's TWICE as bad with Xbox, reviewers have devoted entire SECTIONS to mindlessly praising Xbox games and giving them good scores without saying why.
And on another note, why do they call them "Universal Media Discs" if they only work on Sony products?

Yep, yep. True, yet it make's you mad. And now we know why X7 kinda sucked. The PSP is like a bootlegged (the kind that sucks, instead of being better than the original) N-gage. Even Yahoo says it has a flimsy screen.

It's the Sony's own little universe that they probably mean  or maybe it's a sign that they are going to try and take over the universe? :O ^_^ :D

| I seriously think every guy buys it to be more "manly" or some crap. Probably because it has GTA, one of the most dumb games I could think of, do you see how bad the graphics are? |

| It's true that the GTA games look like a misbegotten lovechild of an N64 and PSX game, but the game itself is a good time killer for...what? A week? After that, the game gets pretty old, pretty fast....even without cheats.... |

| I was playing it, just killing people. And then for 3 days I got bored because the missions are dumb and a waste of time, there isn't a point to the game. |

| they over exagerate the bikes in that game. You hit something you fly like 2 miles away from the bike. I ran into a tree and somehow fell in the ocean, I was pissed 'cause I was on a mission too. |

Hit a tree and fly off a bike into the ocean? That's awsome! Do they start burning and explode after they take too much damage too? Ah, what we really need are more 'good or bad' games. Why can't you take the option of being a good guy in GTA? Well, I guess that really wouldn't fit the storyline too well, would it. Still, being able to go anywhere, do anything, and take the path of good or path of evil would be great. I guess. Wait, this is the Excellent Craftsmanship of Nintendo DS vs. PoS Pocket discussion. Forget GTA.

| I strongly reconmend getting a DS, since Nintendo stuff is actually better than Sony stuff I found. You get rechargable batts on DS and PSP is like the GBA. So Ds is good even though I don't have one, it'll be nice getting the microphone thingy. |

The mic is an awesome feature, but doesn't get the recognition it deserves. If anyone has played Mike's mini-games from WarioWare" Touched! his games are pretty fun (IMO)! The mic is a semi-revolutionary, can't find the word, to handheld systems, since the 64 and GC had mics to play with.

I have a DS and it seems good so far, although I still not used to that four buttons yet...(I have Mario64 DS and I always mess up those 4 buttons._.)but the touch screen is really awesome *keep dragging Pika's face in the game shop *
I don't think I'll get a PSP because all the game I love are on the DS, plus my friend told me she is thinking of getting a PSP because it plays DVD and MP3 (she hates game) My handheld is for GAMES only, NOT for those which supposed to be on a DVD player and MP3 player... |

Nintendo puts more quality I the building of game systems sony has to worry about other stuff lap tops, camras, etc. get it now.
