Seiko meant a few misdetailing and errors throughout the animation. (EDIT: never mind; someone else beat me)
This episode truely does surpass Stream's chatter finale, but the CF reappearance killed a miniscule portion of the excitement. The overall action animations were even better than episode one's shots, but Ishihara had some mishaps in some detailing and proportions (namely the overhead shots inside the Science Labs).
Beast Plus doesn't seem to excite me at all, though >_>;; _________________

Honestly, it's so sad for people to rip on an episode a bout animation details. The finale of Beast was much better than the finale of Stream (and I love Stream).
Trill! I almost started crying during the credits when he was talking to Rockman Poor little guy. I'm going to miss the little guy.
Zero! Hehe, and he has his voice actor from the X series games. Oh so happy. Gleeee!
Can someone explain what was with the sky during the Cross Fusion Ranger battle? It looked exactly like Beyonards, so was that just because of the rip between Beyonard and the other world? Ah well whatever it was it's apparently not there during Beast Plus, so :3
Ugh now I wish I could see Axess to compare Beast to it XO _________________

The few animation errors didn't ruin this episode for me; it happens. Ishihara isn't perfect (just really, really good). I'm not wild about the episode for other reasons... And, yeah, Beast Plus doesn't excite me either. Neither did Beast. The series has had really boring introductory episodes since Stream (or rather, really boring previews for them). _________________

We don't need an exiting intro episode, besides the action always comes later (excluding Axess 1). As long as the series runs, I'm fine. _________________

i agree w/ seiko, I thought this episode was gonna be amzing... well, it wasn't it was okay, but for some reason i just kept wondering when the ep was gonna end. It was fine, but it seemed that the animation was a bit rushed. i mean, this has to be one of Ishihara's weakest jobs.
Oh, well, Beast Plus looks so boring. Wtf is happening to Rockman.exe?! I liked Stream but Beast kinda seemed boring. maybe they need another Buzy theme song to hype it up. _________________ Tsk tsk tsk

My faith in EXE almost died during Stream, but Beast totally brought life back into it for me. The plot was enjoyable and different from the previous seasons, and there weren't nearly as many fillers as before. Beast Out for the win!
I was happy with the ending. Seems people just expect a lot of explosions and such nonsense. zomg plotness prevails. _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great. When you go talk to them, it doesn't go so well." - Miyamoto

I did as well after noticing that Rockman and Trill shared the same eyes and the fact that Plantman and Sparkman appeared in episode 2 and were essentially different beings but oh well. :]
I knew it would be Zero's EXE form from NT. Zero series version appearing wouldn't make any sense. _________________ ~DrkX (Resident over-sexed camera-whore & Facebook zombie.)

This sounds like a great finale. Cross fusion trill grazer megaman looks great. I wonder if they'll make a BN6 DS and add this. I will now go looking for this episode to watch with digimon savers ep 1. |

Quite possibly the best final battle ever!
Cross Fusion Twin Beast Rockman (at least that's my name for it) vs. Greizar was amazing albeit one-sided but that was to be expected.
I'm really going to miss Trill, though. _________________

The Bashing on Gregia.Falzer fusion was massive! And I don't see why you guys don't think Beast Plus will be exciting? Rockman will most likely get crosses! and maybe it'll be something similar to Axess then any of the other series? |

Huh... personally, I dunno where you got that crock from. The plot seems really good, but you gotta remember that a majority of us don't know Japanese. Until we can read translations, most of our enjoyment comes from the action... so if the action is lacking, then it leaves a dull taste in our mouth.
I'm sure that once I read a translation, I'll probably find the episode very interesting in terms of storyline (for example, whatever happened with Trill and Iris seemed really heart-wrenching, but at the moment, it's empty to me)... but as for the action, it was weak, plain and simple. It didn't have the hype of a really exciting finale like, say, Axess. And action makes up a good half of the series...
rockmansp wrote: | We don't need an exiting intro episode, besides the action always comes later (excluding Axess 1). As long as the series runs, I'm fine. |
That reminds me of a Foster's Home episode where Bloo is arguing to Mac about how endings aren't important, and no one cares about endings, and then the episode just cuts off in the middle of his statement.
A beginning is just as important, if not more, than an ending. The introduction draws attention from the audience... it builds up curiosity about future episodes, develops interest, and overall gets the viewer wanting to watch more. We're rabid Rockman fans, so we're going to watch regardless... but the introductory episode should be just as fantastic as a finale.
Imagine if we got beautiful Ishihara magic at the start and finish of every Rockman series. We shouldn't have to wait 50 episodes for one amazing one... the least they could do is give us something great on both ends. EXE's intro was amazing (for the time). Axess's, althought oddly drawn, was also amazing. How many people didn't have wet pants after seeing Cross Fusion insanity for the first time?
But then we get Stream... giant Metts. Uhm... that's... cool, I guess. And Beast felt like a repeat of Stream (just with more going on). And now Beast Plus looks like another rerun of mediocrity. It's just disappointing. I like being excited about an upcoming EXE episode... but it only happens every few months.
I guess I'm just still not used to how lazy the anime producers can be most of the time... Meh. _________________

Ryouko wrote: | Seems people just expect a lot of explosions and such nonsense. zomg plotness prevails. | No, we just don't want a one-sided battle. Sure, Beast found a plot that it could actually adhere to, and there was plenty of plot in every episode, but the ending was like a decaf expresso. It looks and tastes like expresso, but it lacks normal expresso's kick-in-the-nuts caffeine jumpstart.
Netto basically became so kickass that Full-Synchro R-Rockman from Axess would be vaporized in a single shot from überNetto. Then be went and repaired Beyondard with a roar. The cliché Deus ex Machina cop-out - not exactly my cup of tea.
If it were up to me, I'd make the battle an excruciatingly close one with Netto nearly dying, and nearly everyone close to Netto breaking down at the percieved loss until he'd barely start showing vital signs again. For flavor, I'd have weaved Wily into Beast's story and made him hell-bent on stopping Beyondard's Wily, to the point that he'd sacrifice himself (permanently) to give Netto a fighting chance. The cherry on top would be Netto and Rockman having injuries so bad that they'd be down and out for the first two or three episodes in Beast Plus. (The sprinkles would be sparks flying between Laika and Pride, and Kendoman getting sniped out by Searchman.)
Don't get me wrong, Beast was perhaps the best season yet, but it left some to be desired. |

That's not really a fault of the series, though. If a series ending can be ruined for you for not understanding the dialouge, you really shouldn't watch it in raw.
I think in the end all I look for is for the plot to be tied up, which it was. That, and the fact that they didn't kill off Trill like I expected was a nice way to go. _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great.
