I find it funny how you people didn't consider Full-Synchro vs. Laserman a one-sided fight. I mean, seriously, I'm still not really sure why you guys hate this ep. so much. It had action (without going into DBZ mode) and a transformation to rival Bug Style, I'm not even sure if Full-Synchro isn't up there as well.

Honestly, I think you people were expecting a little too much out of the final ep.

If they don't kiss any in Beast Plus(if its the final season) then all the netto and meiru liking each other would have been of waste.

Huh... personally, I dunno where you got that crock from. The plot seems really good, but you gotta remember that a majority of us don't know Japanese. Until we can read translations, most of our enjoyment comes from the action... so if the action is lacking, then it leaves a dull taste in our mouth.

Yeah, that's pretty much the reason why I gave up on my Zoanoroid Shrine for the time being. I was completely lost in the progress of how the plot was set up. (Though I AM thinking about a Wikipedia project soon.)

As for this episode, well I'll wait for an LQ (OR I might just spoil myself rotten and download an HQ once Crimson Seiko gets it up) and watch it for myself before passing judgement. I will say that Greigalzer (what I'm calling the fused beast) Beast Out Rockman is pretty cool looking.

Yeah, 'cuz that's not chiche or anything. :eyes:

I loved Beast, including this finale. Axess turned me away and Stream held me away. Beast brought me back.

Netto basically became so kickass that Full-Synchro R-Rockman from Axess would be vaporized in a single shot from überNetto. Then be went and repaired Beyondard with a roar. The cliché Deus ex Machina cop-out - not exactly my cup of tea.

If it were up to me, I'd make the battle an excruciatingly close one with Netto nearly dying, and nearly everyone close to Netto breaking down at the percieved loss until he'd barely start showing vital signs again. For flavor, I'd have weaved Wily into Beast's story and made him hell-bent on stopping Beyondard's Wily, to the point that he'd sacrifice himself (permanently) to give Netto a fighting chance. The cherry on top would be Netto and Rockman having injuries so bad that they'd be down and out for the first two or three episodes in Beast Plus. (The sprinkles would be sparks flying between Laika and Pride, and Kendoman getting sniped out by Searchman.)

I find it amusing that you say that the whole battle was cliche, but what you would have done is equally if not more cliche.

The point was that the hybrid R-Rockman form was the combination of Netto's, Rockman's, and Trill's power. Netto saw no other choice BUT to Cross Fuse, and it resulted in the final form. I liked the hybridization. \o\

I loved the final battle and the music was a nice touch. But of course, I liked the plot even more, and I liked how they wrapped everything up for Beast Plus. Can't wait for that.

Wow! What a breathtaking finale for this series. I'm sad to see Trill go though. He reminds me of my little brother somewhere at that age until corruption busted in. Anyway, the new Cross Fusion took me by surprise and this may well be IMO the most strongest form Rockman achieved.

Now that Beast has finished and the new series after Beast is gonna appear next, the only question I have is, what happened to Dr. Wily exactly?

I wonder if I should take this avatar I'm using out of the picture for a while and replace it? This picture is... well... one of the main spoilers for the next series.

I think we can all agree on what that one South Park episode that taunted the Simpsons has taught us: Every idea has been done at least once. So everything's practically cliche by now.

I wonder what Ryouko will call Rockman's final form in this episode when she adds it to the Style Change section of the site.

I personally call it Cross Fusion Twin Beast Rockman.

It's simply R-Rockman in F-Beast and G-Beast form at the same time so the most official name you could come up with is GF-Beast R-Rockman

Laika labeled it simply as "Juuka (Beast) Style".

I like the Twin name, but I shouldn't use a name that sounds so official if it's not... so I'll probably go with something a little more specific--like R-Rockman in Beast Out--when I add it to Plug-In (whenever the hell that'll be).

EDIT: Or R-Rockman: Beast Style works.

I rewatched the episode... and I still just can't quite get into it. (It also reminded me how annoying it was that they went and showed all the Cross Fusion Members transforming when that time could have been given much greater use.) There's just a certain missing "flow" in the episode. It just doesn't get me on the edge of my seat... maybe it's the audio usage, which sounded a little empty a lot of the times. (Like... Netto barely makes a sound when fighting the Grega/Falzer super beast... and I already mentioned how I didn't feel Shouri no Uta works well as a final battle song...) There's just something missing in the presentation is all.

But don't use that "if you don't know Japanese, don't watch the RAWs" argument. That's ridiculous, especially after admitting that I realize I'm missing out on half of the episode without understanding the dialogue. I've been judging this episode on terms of presentation and action since my first post in this thread... not once did I claim the plot to be "bad" or unstructured (like Stream's). Beast is actually one of the best plotlines we've had... it flows and it makes sense, sans a couple of miniscule plotholes. This particular episode was just unexciting, no matter how awesome the dialogue may have been. The climactic battle was not all that climactic, and the ending felt rushed. And that's simply all there is to it.

As for the argument over clichés... it depends on the kind of cliché you use. Yes, that earlier suggestion for a more exciting finale has been done a million times in anime, but the problem with Beast's finale's cliché is that it's a cliché within the series itself. In the movie, we saw Rockman make a shiny one-time transformation to take on the big baddie. In Axess, we saw Netto use the one-time Full-Synchro to annihilate Mega-Laserman. Hell, in the original EXE, we saw the one-time Bug Style annihilate a giant beast very similar to the one we just killed in Beast. It's nothing new in the EXE universe. I wouldn't mind seeing some new anime clichés in EXE instead of the same ones we've seen for 200 friggin episodes (*cough* slide-show battles).

All in all, though... Beast Plus's intro episode looks boring. It looks like just another cop-out of Stream's and Beast's (random viruses run rampant on the city, so Netto and co. (though it looks like only Netto now) Cross Fuse and kick their butt). I'm pretty sure it even uses the same art director as Stream and Beast's intro episodes. And just how many times has Densan City been completely and utterly DESTROYED? Meh.

Oh well. I'm just a cynical bastard, I guess. I'll upload the episode to Plug-In soon for direct download, and screencaps eventually. *goes back to Kingdom Hearts II*

Yes, that you are. Laughing

Personally, Futatsu no Mirai made a good heroic there.

To me this final episode was made how a MegaMan final fight should be: MegaMan whoops Wily's monkey a$$!!

The CF battle was great too. I was on the edge of my seat, waiting to see happened and if little Trill was going to be okay.

My rating of this episode and Beast as whole: 10/10

Let's give Beast Plus a chance before we start saying don't like it. I said that about the entire series, and now it's my all-time favorite!

My faith in EXE almost died during Stream, but Beast totally brought life back into it for me. The plot was enjoyable and different from the previous seasons, and there weren't nearly as many fillers as before. Beast Out for the win!

I was happy with the ending. Seems people just expect a lot of explosions and such nonsense. zomg plotness prevails.

Here here! HiKaiser said it best when he said fillers for character developement are good fillers. That's what Beast had.

ZOMG this episode was awsome.... :3 my only quesiton is why was the G / F fussion Beast sucking in the data of the viruses ...... the only thing I can figure it was doing was trying to make it self stronger.... but I can only guess which is why I asked here (still learning japanese)

Both Falzer and Greiga fed off the data of its defeated opponents in order to become stronger. Makes only sense that the ultimate beast would dematerialize beast viruses to use as energy.

It is a kid show, and kissing is kinda tabo in Japanese public lol. The only real sense you get that they like each other in the games was Netto's dream in EXE2 (rofl), and in the anime it's obvious Meiru likes Netto, but Netto is kinda dense since he's a little kid. Just expect more glomping Smile

And back to this whole finale thing. I do think people are expecting to much from the ending. It sounds like everyone wants some grand awesome finale that EXE series hasn't quiet reached. The ending for Stream fit Stream, and the ending for Beast just flat out kicked ass (and I cried in the credits. Trill's fault). The ending of the EXE Movie was also awesome. All I can say is that expect the ending to be what you see through out the series. Stream had Cross Fusion, focusing on the Net Battlers against the evil instead of the Navis - which I liked because I find it booring with the Net Battler stands there slotting chips in. Beast's storyline was about saving Beyonard with Trill's power - which is how the series ended. Both series ended with how the storylines and focuses of the series was.

Beast Plus is deffiantly one I'm looking forward to. :D

I wonder why the next series is called Beast Plus... Since Trill is in Beyondard and Beast Factor is destroyed, there will be no beast stuff...

I WANT AN ACTION FIGURE FOR THAT BEAST STYLE~!

R-Rock in Beast Out was... Awesome... This was definately a good ending for Beast, but there's a lot that makes me feel it was rushed. We never actually saw Wily (only a hologram), and Falzer and Greiga fused was kinda fast, since he didn't do much. The battle pwned so much, though it was a tad one sided. Other than that, I'm glad this episode turned out the way it did.

On another note, did anyone besides me notice Miyuki's voice? It doesn't sound the same as it did in the first season, did her VA change or something?

Yay reviewing an episode again.

Although I liked the Stream ending better then this one, that's a bit more of my weird preference for Stream than anything else and I still really liked this ending.

Main part I wasn't too fond of was the final conclusion, since it was pretty much just a shiner Rockman VS Laserman. But even it it was the resolution, it wasn't the entire episode.

The rest of the stuff, from the technical aspects to the whole virus thing to the general execution of the whole episode was great IMO, and it really felt like they put a lot of effort in to it.

Overall, I rate it 9/10. It loses 2 points cause as much as I liked it, it did still have the faults I mentioned above. But it gets 1 extra point for Kirisaki. (shut up and let me cheat the system!)

So yeah if you want a fair rating, 8/10 + Kirisaki. >_>
