It's JAP only, and it's called スーパーマリオブラザーズ ピーチ姫救出大作戦, does anyone read Japanese? I think it reads Super Mario, [something...something] rescue peach.... But I just found out it's The Great Mission to Rescue Peach...  Anyone know of this long lost anime? And where to find this? I might need someone who can read japanese...

Super Mario "Brothers"; there's no "th" consonant in the Japanese language. Unfortunately, I can't transliterate the Kanji.
...Google is your friend, even eBay, maybe.

Not very good with kanji but I came up with:
Super Mario Brothers: Peach-hime Kyuude Dai Sasen
Probably wrong on the transliteration since my kanji interpretation is horrible but it won't matter because you can just use the kana/kanji mix you have in your first post as your search term.

Anyhoo. I've seen the opening scene and some random middle scene posted on YouTube. It looks pretty decent, considering how early it was made (it came out right after the original Mario, pretty much).
