Fact: Zero is not bishie but still badass in evil ways.

I did notice the art style change, but in all honestly the story is what keeps me interested, not the art style. I sat through the "horrible" episodes of Stream with its art style because of the story (*waits for the complaints of "WHAT STORY?!"*). But anyways, the art director might be different yes.

I'm wondering what storyline Beast Plus is going to have.

I reaaally need to see Axess fully now (only saw bits and pieces of the dub).

I wish Beast was longer though, I would have liked to see more fillers about the Beyonard people and their stories in their timeline. But I guess after the filler complaints of Stream and this 15 minute episode with Beast Plus, it wasn't going to work.

[spoil:9b59e574a6]I was disappointed that we didn't get to see Beyondard Wily. BTW, anybody know why Wily does not have a navi?[/spoil:9b59e574a6]

How is that a spoiler?

Anyways, why does Wily need a navi? He friggin' took over a giant dog/bird and blew nearly everything up!

I find it amusing that you say that the whole battle was cliche, but what you would have done is equally if not more cliche.
Allow me to clarify.

1. Deus ex Machina is a very specific event and one clichéd to the point that it is utterly tasteless. Not only is it a cliché, but also an utter cop-out.

2. If you'd care to notice, I wasn't wishing for a totally rewritten story. Rather, I would have eliminated Deus ex Machina and made the hero a vulnerable human being. That is by no means a cliché, and would make Netto far more interesting as a character.

3. The detail about Wily is not necessarily a cliché, depending on its execution. It could easily be the standard anime fare of "Character x starts obessing over his evil rival, Character Y. Out of the blue, X does a heroic deed against Y, sacrificing himself while giving the hero a wide open shot at Y." What I had in mind, however, was developing Wily's character into the archetypical repenting villain, introducing the theme of self-sacrifice to the anime, and adding a facet of pride to Wily.

Sol wrote:
The point was that the hybrid R-Rockman form was the combination of Netto's, Rockman's, and Trill's power. Netto saw no other choice BUT to Cross Fuse, and it resulted in the final form. I liked the hybridization.
Putting Rockman under the control of Wily made a terribly difficult situation artificially worse.

It could have proved to be an interesting twist, with a number of different ways to resolve it. The most obvious one would be Netto entering a sort of microcosm to conquer external problems from within. Though something similar was already implemented in Axess when Enzan tried to save Blues from the Dark Chip, the actual microcosm could be notably different.

Possibilities aside, I would have been perfectly satisfied if Wily's beast was better than Netto's new Cross Fusion by a fair amount. It would make the situation more dire and force the characters to come up with a means to tip the scales in Netto's favor. The finale to Axess came close to what I've described, but Full Synchro edged on Deus ex Machina.

Of course, when all is said and done, nothing can change that the story directors had the very original idea of making Netto a demigod that could vanquish any foe in a few blows and heal an entire ailing world in a single roar, all unexpectedly as worse was about to turn to worst.

Now, I feel I must note, that while I probably sound very critical of Beast, I'm only pointing out what I disliked about it. As I've mentioned before, Beast had the most consistent, smooth-flowing plot of any RM.EXE season thus far, and happens to be my favorite season thus far.

If you want to debate any of it further, Sol, I'll gladly take it to PM. Otherwise, I've said what I needed to say, and that's that.

Wily is always taking over navis. he never just makes his own. -_- that's his problem. Have u noticed that ever since Cross fussion was introduced, that all the finales have to do w/ it? I hate that.

I loved the finale. Maybe it was a bit rushed when you compare it to Axess' finale or a finale from the original series, but I thought story-wise and how it was delivered, it was a wonderful way to end a short but intense series. After the way Stream ended, I really doubted a following series could do well again, but Beast certainly ended that.

Say what you want about it, but I looooooved how it all came together. Rockman and Trill, syncronized in an effort to stop Wily's Double Beast, were trapped and seemed doomed. Wily had won, his god-like creation has conquered one world, and now it moves on to conquer the parallel one. However, as we are shown time after time again in this show, nothing is stronger then the power of friendship. Plugging out his navis doesn't work... so the only other thing that can bring the syncronized Rockman and Trill out of Wily's trap... is Cross Fusion. Cross Fusing in an area as dangerous as Beyondard's is very risky now, but Cross Fusing with Rockman and Trill in their syncronized and trapped condition is ridiculously dangerous. Netto ignores all this, and uses Cross Fusion! 3 spirits in perfect unison. Beyondard Tadashi Hikari's Syncronizer: Trill, Real World Yuuichiro Hikari's Ultimate Program: Rockman.EXE, and the heart of a boy who brings both programs to their fullest potential... Netto Hikari. The result is... Wily's Ultimate Beast gets PWNED!!! That was just as cool, if not cooler then Forte Cross Rockman in my opinion... maybe not as well animated obviously, but still a very awesome idea and lots of fun to see it happen.

I think you didn't quite get what Sol meant. The scenary you're suggesting is cliché, because it has also been just as overdone in other series. One of the things about anime is that isn't unusual they tend to end in a very similar way between seasons.

This very same scenario is the way the anime Saint Seiya ends almost every single time. -they only had one ending that go a different way, and curiously was only in manga for a long time. Exactly the same way you're proposing. I know it was done in several anime series I used to watch.

In any case, isn't rare that one anime will stick to one type of ending, more so if it's actiony and has been going for more than two seasons. That type of ending never tires some people, but obviously will get boring to others.

Wily's super double beast was probably not around long enough for Forte to even show up in time to try and take it on. Same for God Netto. And Beyondard Forte... most likely impossible because of Beyondard Pharaohman.

my Theory ( and this is just a theory ) is that before the Rockman.Exe Anime series ends there will be a HUGE battle between the Humans and Forte....

now the last time we saw Forte was at the end of Stream [spoil:543dcfcc2f]when he killed slur[/spoil:543dcfcc2f] and we havent seen him since.... now I was kinda hoping Beast plus would be about how Forte desided to finally destroy all the humans
and when netto and co. came back the world would be in utter Chaos...

but thats just how I would have done it .... hope they bring forte back in Beast Plus...

Well... from the sounds of this thread, this is certainly sounding like a very-well done series, even though if it was a bit short. (Must see~!)

I assume there hasn't been any new info on Beast Plus though?

And a digression:

If anyone hasn't noticed yet, while Wily does his "This is impossible!' thing...you'll notice that Tesla is holding Charlie's arm when the scene switches to the Cross Fusion Members shot. I dunno if I'm the only one who noticed it.

It certainly does. Much more than the little picture of the Earth that was laid into the background in Enzan's portion of the Stream opening. I do note that the continent is much further north than it should be...

If I'm mistaken, every map in the EXE world has been the real world, why are you all making such a big deal over Beyondard's? .-.

I'm not, I was making a joke when I said it looked like Earth's. -__-'

Anyway, the point is Africa, China, America, Europe, Russia and Japan are all in the EXE Universe as distinct nations/continents, but Australia hasn't really ever made a mention.
