Well he does call him gramsp, but If you remember when Dex got that device from the guy who sold bad noodles,it had Tadashi's name on it,in which Lan said was his grandfather so it could be both.

Here's more i can think of that aren't listed from both the anime and the game: Japanese to English

Kenichi Hino - MrMatch
Elec Hakushaku - Count Zap
MoltanicMan - NapalmMan
VineMan - PlantMan
SpikeMan - NeedleMan
Miyuki - Miyu
Manabe - Manuela
NovaMan - StarMan
BeastMan - SavageMan
Aragoma Torakichi - Tora
Ran Igarashi - Lilly
Narcy Hide - Viddy Narcy
Midorikawa Kero - Ribbita
Daisuke Hayami - 'Speedy' Dave

That's what i can think of off the top of my head that wasn't already listed.

Just a comment about Hikari Tadaishi; Netto's grandpa... The "Haksi" you might have heard might have been 'hakase'. (ha-kah-seh) Yuuichirou is also called that. It's just basically "Professor". :3

i.e. "Hikari-hakase" = "Professor Hikari"

Otherwise, I really can't make much more helpful commentary. I don't watch the dub. ^.^; However, I do know that Coloredman was called "Whackoman" in the dub... that took me a little to figure out reading the forums as well since I couldn't believe it myself. ^.^;

I made a chart for this. It also includes English video-game and manga names.

I think there's some issues with D.C. superhero names because of D.C. cartoon characters on Kids' WB and Cartoon Network... Which explains why characters like AquaMan and BeastMan (i.e. Teen Titan's Beast Boy) were renamed. Of course, this doesn't seem to apply to Marvel characters, such as IceMan... even though Kids' WB used to air an X-Men cartoon. So there goes my theory.

But truthfully, no one knows for sure. Some could be copyright issues, as I mentioned... some could be simple censorship (such as BombMan/BlasterMan and NapalmMan/MoltanicMan)... and some seem like just random slap-happy fun (like ColdMan/FridgeMan and StarMan/NovaMan).

ah, thank you. That cleared up a huge cloud of confusion. I bookmarked that link, so any time someone goes back and forth I'll remember n.n.

One thing I never understood was why they called him moltanicman. That's not a word so why not volcanicman? That makes more sense.

Molten is a word and it does relate to lava. Moltanic, however, is not a word.
