Powered Up, definitely. The replay value is tons better, and there's simply more things to do.

Depends on what you're looking for in your Mega Man games.

If you want a deeper story, a nice bit of anime including an OAV, and a more serious tone, Maverick Hunter X is your best bet.

If you want something more lighthearted without as much story, but with a ton of replay value in some dozen or so different playable characters, plus downloads and custom levels and a remake of the original game in addition to the revised version... Powered Up.

megaman powered up is the better one it has more stuff to do you can make your own stages plays with the bosses, so much stuff to do but MHX is good to mainly because it's the remake of the first one and it has the anime episode and playing with vile is great to. but I like both game to tell the truth.

*shrugs*I'd recomend both, but...
Irregular Hunter X/Maverick Hunter X:
For the more serious Rockman fan. The difficulty is not for the lighthearted or younger gamer, and its deffinetly not for the impatient. The replay value isn't that good, though the OAV Day Of Sigma easily makes you forget about crappy replay. Overall, a good walk down memory lane for the hardcore gamer or serious rockman fan, though a bit choppy for anyone else.

Powered Up:
If your a younger gamer, or find yourself easily irrated at difficulty, you'll probally enjoy this one more than Maverick Hunter X. The replay value is great, with many challenges and characters awaiting you, including the infamous Blues/Protoman which is finnally a prayable character. Though, if you find yourself the kind of person who can beat a more childish game in a few hours, you might want to look away from this one.

I love both, but I'm going to have to go with MHX just because I have always prefered the X series more.
