The thing I like best about FMA (aside from the great plot and character development or lack there of) is the music. Ive also heard about this movie, and it strikes me as odd. [spoil:06244434a6]The screen-caps i've seen show Ed and Al as they were before they first attempted to bring their mother back... and there were some other things i forgot about the trailer too. It really struck me as interesting.[/spoil:06244434a6]

I've only seen one episode: Her Reasons. It was okay I suppose, I liked the voices of Al and Ed, but I perfer the manga myself, great artwork, very interesting plot. Just bought vol 6 a few days ago, Greed's first appearance!

The manga and anime are actually quite different. SPOILERS! [spoil:b341e8c5ec]The way Greed dies for instance. In the manga he gets liquidated or something and in the anime, Ed stabs him after Dante (as Lyla) takes all of his red stones. Also in the manga, Martel (the snake Chimera) gets stabbed by the Furher(sp?) when she's in Al but it occurs underground in the sewers. This is also where Greed gets stabbed and captured By the Furher. In the anime she gets stabbed in front of the State Alchemist's Headquarters while inside of Al.[/spoil:b341e8c5ec] End SPOILER.

But they are both very well made and have subtext that says more than what is obvious. Iraq controversy, etc. And Hughes is a shmexii beast!

BTW, did anyone catch the final episode of the dub tonight? Especially that weird second disclaimer before it aired?

As for the ending itself. I didn't find it bad. Just neutral at best. Hopefully the movie will liven things up when it's released.

I've had a lot of people tell me that the ending was terrible. I dunno WHAT they're talking about. The whole cast was awesome on this one, and Travis Willingham (Roy Mustang), Wendy Powell (Envy) and Vic Mignogna (Edward Elric) specifically did a phenominal job. Definetely looking forward to the movie.

[spoil:e8baa3e12d]I suppose Envy will make it to the other world in the movie as the dragon in order to get to Hoenheim. And there should still be room in the movie for Wrath to do something. Plus Gluttony is unaccounted for as well. We never did actually see what happened between him and Dante.[/spoil:e8baa3e12d] All in all, there's some nice setup for fans to anticipate over.

Now, after seeing the series end, I have high hopes for the movie. Personally, I liked the ending, though not as much as others endings. I was just repeating what I'd heard about it. It wasn't that bad.
Mustang and Riza were awesome in it, as was Al. It just felt uncomplete- hopefully the movie alleviates that.
Really looking forward to the movie. They can dub it as soon as possible.

FUNimation already licensed the movie. It might even have a theatrical release :3

Did you see the new FMA OVAs, there are three of them and they are pretty good. You should see the SD one. And only less then two days till Chapter 58 is out!
