The more I see the ad the more I want the game. While I'm a stark supporter of LoZ (which is though by many people I know as the opposite of Kingdom Hearts) I'd love to get it. Anyone know of a PSP release any time soon? _________________

After being occupied with KH2 and Elder Scrolls, I now have the time to post something.
KH2 has a TON of cutscenes. So much, it eventually bored me. What I want is action and fighting but those cutscenes slow things down.
There's probably more than 5 hours worth of cutscenes. I decided to just skip all the cutscenes and wow, this game is much shorter without it. At least 15-20 minutes on each world.
I completed Standard a few days ago. I skipped the battle with Sark and Hades because I just wanted to complete the game. After that, I started Proud. This will be my 100% run and yes, I'll be watching the cutscenes this time.
Besides the cutscenes, my 2 other complaints are the lack of optional bosses and summons. Personally, I don't like Chicken Little or Stitch. I prefer the old disney characters, with the exception of PoTC. I just don't like Disney's new material nowadays. (Kim Possible, American Dragon, Brandy, and all the other shows that involve real people.) Thank God for Toon Disney.
I noticed some things were changed which disappointed me a little bit.
-The Hydra is suppose to spew out green blood just like in the movie but we get black smoke instead. Japan get's the green blood.
-Xigbar's boss battle has been modified. The sniper vision is gone.
-Pirates use crossbows but they originally use guns in the Japanese version.
Sad Fact: Pat Morita's last work before his death was doing the voice of the Chinese Emperor in Mulan for KH2. If you don't know him, he's Mr. Miyagi from the Karate Kid.
Alright, enough complaints. The action was good and the Reaction Commands made it great. I spammed Negative Combo + Explosion. I enjoyed the battle with Luxord and Saix, whom to my surprise was pronounced Sai-X. I REALLY loved the 2nd battle with Axel.
"Burn, baby!"
Finally, Xigbar sounds like a surfer when he said dude. _________________

The sniper vision is gone? That's odd, [spoil:167f63d558]'cause I remember being in somebody's sights during that battle and you have to use the Warp Sniper reaction against it.[/spoil:167f63d558] So did you use Negative Combo and Fenrir as well? I like pulling long combos personally, but I did tend to spam Magnega against quite a lot of enemies, [spoil:167f63d558]especially in the World That Never Was against all those Nobodies. 1000 exp a piece? Talk about a nice place to level up, and Magnega makes it excessively simple.[/spoil:167f63d558]
Oh, and I finally managed to take down Sephiroth, but that's only Normal mode. I started up a Proud mode, so we'll just see if I can handle the One-Winged Angel in that one.
Oh, and I agree that Chicken Little is worthless. Honestly, the only summon that was any good at all was Peter Pan, but when it comes down to it, I'll take Final Form over a summon any day of the week.
I'm really hoping that something really cool is underway for KH3. The thing I'm hoping for? Well, Disney has a fairly close association with Studio Ghibli, right? I would absolutely love to see a Spirited Away world, or maybe Princess Mononoke or Nausicaa if they could manage it well enough. I know, I know. In my dreams, right? _________________ Church: Are you following any of this?

Yes, you were in his sights through first person. However, all we get are 3 revolving circles around Sora. In the Japanese, you are also in first person but you see Sora through a sniper scope.
If any of you haven't fought Xigbar, then this is a spoiler.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdRyazhntpo&search=Xigbar%20
I never fought Sephiroth on Standard. I rushed on my first run. I never did bother to level up my forms either.
I am doing that on my Proud run. At first, I thought it would be a pain filling the Drive Gauge but then I found the tricks and got instant max drives. :] _________________

I don't recall Xigbar combining his guns into a sniper rifle. Was that also exclusive to the Japanese version? _________________

You're right. Xigbar never combined his guns in the English version, he just spun them around in his hands. Just another gun Disney didn't want in the game I suppose. _________________

Ah, God bless America, the country where everyone has the right to bear arms, but nobody has the right to show them in video games or cartoons. Is it any wonder the world thinks we're screwy?
And the real trick to form levelling is to go to the world map before the form runs out, coupled with finding the right place to level a particular form since the leveling requirements for each one is different. _________________ Church: Are you following any of this?

I don't get it. Disney really didn't like guns in the game yet they had Clayton have a shotgun and shoot Sora. What's wrong with a pirate having a gun and shooting Sora? Or Xigbar's sniper?
Well America is really trying to lessen the violence in cartoons. I guess this is a good thing so that the kids don't grow up to be violent. Still, I like Disney back in the day where smoking, drinking, and shooting was shown at times. Even though it's bad. The Three Caballeros, Great Mouse Detective, etc were all great.
Come to think of it, Disney shows (Probably even Looney Tunes also) back then were probably meant for 15+ year olds in this generation.
Besides the world map for the instant drive, going to the coliseum and exiting also gives you max drive. I'm not sure if this one works but is going to Timeless River and exiting to Disney Castle also give you max drive? _________________

Here are all the things Disney changed, does have spoilers(obviously):
[spoil:c35ea96a9e]The Hydra has its green blood from the Japanese version changed into black and purple smoke in the English version.
Xigbar's telescopic sight view has been edited from the Japanese version to replace its crosshair with three circles and remove the black shading around the sides that implied a telescopic sight.
The guns of pirates found in the Pirates of the Caribbean world in the Japanese version have been altered into crossbows.
Scenes in the Pirates of the Caribbean world have been edited to remove some of the violence.
The poem Sora reads from Kairi at the end is, word for word, from the original trailer of Kingdom Hearts.
Unlike Kingdom Hearts and other Final Fantasy titles, this game does not have a soft reset feature. [/spoil:c35ea96a9e]

Speaking of The Great Mouse Detective, I'm a tad disappointed they didn't try to include a world for that, with Sora and gang shrunk down to mouse size; can you imagine how cool a battle with Ratigan inside the Big Ben clocktower would be? _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

Yes, going from Timeless River to Disney Castle resets the drive guage the way going to the world map does. Now that I think about it, I'll have to try going from Space Paranoids to Hollow Bastion and see if that resets the guage as well. Of course, it's probably more efficient just to use the Timeless River doorway. Of course, the thing to remember is that it won't fill an empty guage. It just resets it if you haven't used up your Form.
And I don't know if the game not having a 'soft reset' feature is really a spoiler. It's just sort of a very minor nuisance to have to reset the PS2 when you want to load or start a new game. Oh well. Just a slight delay. _________________ Church: Are you following any of this?

In case anyone is still interested in battle reports:
Game Level: Standard
Completion of Journal: 97%
Completion of Gummi Routes: 7%, I'm not a terribly big fan of the new Gummi system XD.
Healed Party Members: 66 Times, most of the time I let them heal each other with items.
Saved by Mickey: 1 time, and only during the fight with frigging Xaldin. Really, how many deadly/impossible to avoid attacks does that guy really need?
Most used Form: Valor Form, 64 times. Incredible speed, dual keyblades and vicious melee combos? I'll take two, please.
Used AntiForm: 14 Times. From what I've read so far, it seems I'm the only one who decided to put it to good use; it helped out great in the second Port Royal boss battle.
Most used Summon: Stitch, 14 times. Love that Ukele. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

Has anyone figured out how to actually do something during Luxord's desperation card trick? The one where you need four "O" commands? I've tried experimenting for about four, five battles and all I've come up with is that all I can do is press X when the command bar is at X. |

You have to press X on each command slot when it shows an O. When you get in O in all four of them, Sora does a nifty trick with the cards and throws them at Luxord, which depletes his Time Gauge to zero. It doesn't finish him off, but you can get in and land a finishing combo easily.
It took me a couple of attempts too before I got it. _________________

I've recently discovered something that I'd like to share with anyone who's trying to get a few quick levels, whether it be for a tough boss or trying to reach level 99. [spoil:b745814ca6]The World That Never Was[/spoil:b745814ca6] with its battle level of 50 is usually the best place to level. However, this method is much easier and much quicker:
Go to the Pride Lands after defeating Scar the first time, and return to where the fight with him was, the Peak on top of Pride Rock. There will be a swarm of Rapid Thrusters. Move to the center of the area and cast Magnet/era/ega. Repeat until all the Thrusters are gone. Leave the area, then reenter. The Thrusters will all be back. Repeat as often as desired.
During the second half of the game, when the battle levels have all increased, this nets you atleast 10,000 Exp each time, and usually doesn't take more than a minute or so to take out all the Thrusters. Magic Lock-on might make things easier, but it shouldn't be neccesary. The Thrusters also drop plenty of Lightning Shards if you need them, and enough MP balls to refill your magic after each time. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

For the above strategy, your magic stat must be higher than 53 in order to one-hit kill the Rapid Thrusters with Magnega. Otherwise, it gets a bit annoying when you have to fight off multiple enemies.
An even QUICKER way to do it is to equip both the Gullwing keyblade and Experience Boost, then get down to low health. Obviously, you have to set your partner's customization to not heal you as you do this. Then, go kill all the enemies on top of Pride Rock. Tons of EXP each time.
The method does get a bit boring after a while, though. I prefer leveling elsewhere, because it's a bit more enjoyable. _________________
