Well I don't see it as a big deal,just don't call them by they're english names...

Exactly, ignore them if they bother you. You won't catch me using Fyrefox or Dusk, only Nenji and Dark.

This has been said before, but don't let one poor sounding name make you want to boycott the game and sent hate mail to Capcom *coughGamefaqsForumscough*, it's the final product, that's all that counts, the game's fun factor and story is what really counts.

Thst couldn't be any more from the truth.

We don't know why we don't have 4.5 other than what we've guessed with too much to translate and the E-reader flopped over here so it would have been a waste of time.

It's not a curse word if used in the sense of the place. Like in a religous way.
But it's all in context.

Normally, name changes in the EXE series don't bother me as long as the games aren't really affected. But Spoutman was a stupid name change to begin with, so I'm not happy about that at all.

So they gave Aquaman his NT Warrior name. That's kind of a bad sign. Suppose Junkman returned and Capcom named him JunkDataman? Or if Coldman came back under the name Fridgeman? Really makes my head reel.

Eraseman? They could've easily just called him Sickleman or Phantomman but Eraseman? Now that I think about it, that would've been a great idea for a navi too. I SHALL RUB YOU OUT! RAWR!

I don't mind Eraseman really, sure it's not as nice as Killerman but still if he's got attacks like "Eraser Beam" I doesn't sound that bad.

I think everyone saw KillerMan's name getting changed... otherwise every soccer mom in the western hemisphere would've been up in arms *insert bad joke or hate mail here*. EraseMan isn't the best re-name for him, but it does suit him in a way. i personally didn't like the fact that they had to call AquaMan SpoutMan.... they didn't seem to complain when he was 'Aqua' in EXE4 and classic 8.

I don't know...Eraseman just doesn't seem to suit Killerman. Although, as much as I thought Killerman was a retarded name from the beginning, I knew it was going to get changed. But why not "Deleteman?" or "Reaperman?" >.>

Sorry if this was already posted. I heard that around the time of MM8, DC comics sued Capcom for the use of the name Aquaman. I heard that they tried to sue again for use of the name in exe4. I guess capcom decided to give up and went to dub names.

Or, maybe they wanted to unite the dub and the games together and the fist step was name changes (Sega did a similar thing with sonic, by changeing the voice cast to reflect the voices of the dub)

Saddly, I think most of your posts is wrong.
The name changes is what we were talking about for both pages.
And why would DC sue them? Aquaman is nothing like aquaman.
And I don't know but I think the sonic thing was because of 4Kids.

Well, the personality/character doesn't always matter. Some people are just that picky over their names, and other similar levels of property. I don't know if DC really did sue Capcom, but I do think it was a possibility...

And as for the name changes themselves, I don't mind. Yeah, Spoutman and Eraseman may be less than desirable names for some, but it could be worse. And at least it was only two names. Besides, I agree with what HK said earlier; I didn't even notice Aquaman's name change until I read further in the topic XD; Which is just proof that you can get used to it, I guess...
