The previous topic for this is about 6 months old, so new one it is! Anyway, this sucker is coming out this Tuesday, so wondering who's planning on picking up a copy.

Has anyone heard the English voices? There are few clips you can find on YouTube if you really want.

Actually, my store already receieved the DVDs, but it's street-dated for Tuesday, so we can't sell it yet. But that didn't stop my bud and I from having a little private screening in the store last night after we closed. :D

I'm very pleased with the English dub, both the overall translation and the voices. I've always liked Steve Burton as Cloud from the Kingdom Hearts games, and he doesn't disappoint here. Rachel Leigh Cook is spot-on for Tifa. I was not a fan of Mena Suvari's Aerith in KH2, but she does a very good job here. And Sephiroth rocks all.

The only questionable voice I found is Cait Sith...who is Scottish for some reason. Oh well, no one likes him anyway.

And I have to give praise to Steve Blum (as always) as Vincent and Quinton Flynn as Reno. Man, first he does Axel, now Reno - he's racking up the points!

My friend said that there was a preview for it on Fox last night.

Ah, I'm glad that Axel's VA will be playing Reno. I almost didn't wanna see the dub, just because I thought the original was so darn good. They totally messed up Sephiroth's voice in the dub, which makes me sad. ;-;
Oh, yes, and MENA SUVARI SUCKS.

The store where I live has it in stock also but its £20 so I'm waiting till Monday when I can buy it in ASDA for £9.

The voices are pretty good, whats wrong with a Scottish voice for Cait Sith any way? I haven't heard Sephiroth yet so I'll judge that on Monday.

The movie looks great, the CG is perfect.

Play KH2, and you'll hear his voice once you find him.

Or, you can just watch this.

Japanese Voice

I believe that's the same one used in Advent Children

How'd they mess up Sephiroth's voice? It's low, menacing, scheming - sounds like Sephiroth to me. He's not gonna be this outlandish villain. He barely shows any emotion at all.

And as I said, Mena Suvari does a very good job in FFAC vs KH2. Maybe she had more direction for this one; who knows.

Considering KH2 isn't out here that video ws pretty handy. I like his voice.

I'm skint so me and my brother are going to rent the film out before we buy it. Is it worth buying or renting though?

Well, being the uber fan of Sephiroth that I am, I thought he'd have a different voice. Something along the lines of Orochimaru, or Itatchi from the Naruto dub. It's just...not a deep enough voice. At least for my tastes.
The few battle crys that the KH1 Sephiroth had sounded better than KH2 Sephirtoh, to me.

I'm a skint 13 year old midget. I don't have a Visa and couldn't afford to rent a shoe box in America.

I went to the rental store but it's out of stock. I'm going back tommorow to get it.

Did they Dub [spoil:872f814a67]Bahumut Sin as Bahamut Sun[/spoil:872f814a67] Because Amazon said that they did. Kinda pointless edit.

Ill agree with Jazz, the Dubbed version rocked and was practically almost dead on with the original script in Japan, just with tweaks to fit our culture in the states. Good job Sony Smile

Yay, glad to have another fan. :D Too many dub-haters out there...many who hate dubs just for the sake of hating them.

Good Film. The second half of the film was dissapointing. The fight scenes could have been better. But none the less it was a great film.

Was it me or was some of the BG Music louder than the speech?

CFZero a friend informed me that they might remake FF7 for PS3. But I doubt it.

Well, I know in the dubbed version, the BG music was at a reasonable level.
What's wrong with the fight scenes? They were fantastic!

I was talking about the English Dub. Like when Kadaj made the Children drink from the LifeStream and when Marlene talks about the LifeStream you could barely hear it over the BG Music.

The fight scenes were good. They could have been better though.

It sounded fine to me the BG and the Dialogue together but that was me watching it on our Home Enertainment Surround Sound System, lol

and hey, you tell me honestly those fights scenes was incredible for the technology Square Enix used in that film, breathtaking, liked them better then most fight scenes in real action flicks.
