It they can keep harley on pokemon or chronos on yugioh gx males then there's a 50/50 chance narcy will be a guy. |

I'd think being on the internet, they may not have to even worry about WB's S&P...

We've been over the Narcy topic before. Narcy may be effeminate, but he never actually exercises any homosexual behavior in the show (i.e., he doesn't show any attraction to men). He's just simply "glamorous," and that seems to be OK in anime dubs. The reasons characters like Zoicite and Fish Eye in, say, Sailormoon, were dubbed into women is because there are strong romantic implications with other men. That's a no-no for dubbed kids' shows.
Also, like Nyte said, if Stream debuts on the internet, then there will probably be a very small amount of edits. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the show used the original BGM and what-not (since there wouldn't be critical time-restraints without commercials). Though, if the series is planned to later air on Cartoon Network as well, then the edits may still exist (to a certain degree). We'll just have to see. _________________

I went over that note with a friend of mine, and at first he thought that'd be even MORE reason to edit, considering it's the net any anyone could access it. Then I mentioned that Naruto would be on there and that show has slim to none edits on it, so perhaps Viz WOULD change up the way they work with handling the show. At this point, it's probably not gonna change up THAT much from how it's changed from when they started AXESS.
I already spoke of my opinion on how Narcy will be handled a few times in the past, and it stands the same as what PAC was saying. Considering Bon Clay (who actually IS made out to be gay) from the One Piece series went virtually unchanged as far as his look goes, I'd say Narcy'll be just fine. |

BGM is a big assumption, since I doubt time has anything to do with that. Usually, a company licenses the music seperately from the anime itself... and a lot of companies simply choose to make their own rather than pay even more for the rights.

I'm not quite sure that's the case. That sounds like it's more prevalent in the opening and ending theme songs than it does with the BGM. From what I've heard from other cases in which a dub has different BGM, they say it's done for 'creative' reasons, and usually go for the excuse of 'we wanted to make it fit the series a bit more in America'. Not sure if that's the actual case with NT Warrior, but yeah.

I never notice BGM being a big deal, but I agree. I think it will change, and also maybe not as long to decrease stream time? just a thought. also, I wouldn't mind narcy being feminized. I mean, everything about him is just girly. its just...blegh. kind of creepy. but as for edits, I doubt they would edit it much if it were online. I mean, think of everything *else* you can access...why would they waste their time editing it? _________________

>___> That would a very stupid attitude for Toonami, don't you think? It's still for kids and if parents find out that "omg there's no editing!! evil japanese shit!!" than they would get sued >___> I hate it when they change perfectly good BGM >___> _________________

This maybe considered topic ressurrection, but wtf happened to megaman? I thought that it was supposed to start in july. Does that mean that we are to discredit anime news network? Was there a memo about this that i did not get? Explanations, anybody? _________________

Read more closely. No one, including Anime News Network, ever said MegaMan was starting in July. Toonami Jetstream was launched in July, and the press release clearly states that other anime is planned but won't appear with the launch, and this included MegaMan. There's no date set for MegaMan's premiere. We just know Viz is planning it. _________________

Maybe they'll put AXESS in later? Also, does anybody have a link to the merger WB station schedule?I'd like to see what they got planned for fall. |
I hope they'll put axess in later on. But, at least they have it and that's good enough for me. *thows confetti* Yeaaah, that's crazy good!! (oh no, I've seen too many poptart comercials.)
The WB does not have plans for megaman right now. The only anime that they have right now is sprider riders.
But, if they do bring it back, then that would be really awesome. _________________

Yep, its going to be hard to see Megaman now that the channel that played it is now a defunct network. Over in my area, and I dont know about everyone else it was played on a tv station called the WB which just went out of business. It was started over again and merged with another network to form the network, the CW. I dount know if they plan to play megaman or not. |
