Lost Magic is a relatively new game for the Nintendo DS produced by Ubisoft. The game boasts the ability to cast spells via stylus motions, an evolving magic system with over 350 different magical combinations, taking command of various monsters, and online play via Nintendo WiFi.
So what I'd like to know is what the game is really like. If you have played this game, what are your opinions on it? Is it fun in single-player? If you've played it online, is that entertaining, and does the game lag or suffer in any way when playing over Nintendo WiFi?
I would appreciate any additional information. _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

It's a real-time strategy game with RPG elements mixed into it.
Interesting concept, but the execution wasn't what it could've been. There's a lot to do in it and can be a great time waster, but most of its flaws are in AI and online play. Yeah, it lags, though it's tolerable. Spells are fun, though. I suggest you try before you buy, as the game isn't too appealing to everyone. |

I played it onceo n a friend's DS. Mind you, it was fun, but like Zan said it could've been a lot more. The spell casting was extremely fun, but was kind of ruined by the fact you don't have time to practice them (as every stage is timed). Still a fun game; I read a review of it in Nintendo Power, and they're opinion on it was similar to mine after I played; albeit a much more thorough opinion. _________________

What I would like to know about this game is...what do you do on WiFi? Like is it just fighting or is it like an MMORPG? _________________

I have that game. On Wi-Fi it´s like a Strategy game: You can choose your monsters and then you fight. I did that 2 times but I got bored since he just ran to me and attacked me with all his might i couldn´t even cast a spell =/
But single player is fun.^^ I don´t play it that often since I am still playing MMBN DS (finally the PAL one) and i want both Teams on 100% _________________
