I had used the WoodGuts Style in Battle Network 2 and 3 because of its high attack, CONVENIENCE and battle potential. (Charged buster with maximum attack > j00) But I had used mainly Elec based chips because of their paralysis qualities.
In Battle Network 4, I had only used Aqua Soul because it was the only soul I had (never completed Hard and Very Hard play modes). It was very inconvenient though... I made up for it by using a lot of Elec chips like MagBolt. XD
Now in Battle Network 5, I had the freedom of all of the souls! ^^ And guess what? I use Magnet Soul the most! :D I use Search Soul more, but that's not an elemental soul so it's irrelevant. The charge MagBolt buster shot is so awesome along with the magnetic shoes! ^^ The Elec based chips such as Thunder and MagnetmanSP are so awesome and especially ChaosMagnetSoul. ^^
I'd say Electricity. =D Because the power is so SHOCKING and ATTRACTIVE. XD |

I would disagree, as Elec Cross keeps you stationary for at least one or two seconds and it's range is quite limited. The only charge shots I would recommond for Greiga would be Charge Cross possibly, and Slash Cross for sure. _________________

Style Change/Soul/Cross wise I'd go with wood. I love the tornado attack, and T-Swing pwns. Chip wise, I really like fire chips like Fire Sword and Boxer. They tend to be really powerful, I'd like a new charge attack for fire crosses please. The Fire Arm is innumerably overused. _________________

For ElecCross, a second isn't a problem, besides, it makes pretty good damage.
For ChargeCross, the only thing that works is to block attacks (for me)
For SlashCross: I have no problem with this one, Dream Sword range and almost 200 damage worth... I think... _________________

Consider that all the projectile shots have the same range, they just don't cover it at once. Even if you catch an opponent in it, unlike Killer's Beam they won't be paralysed and, like any other of the projectile shots, it is reasonably easy to dodge especially since the panels effected light up.
As for standing still, it's enough time for some to come up and use Dream Sword on you, or any other wide attack. Plus there are some decent Wood Chips in EXE 6, making it dangerous to stay still.
Elec Beast's charge is of slightly more use, since it cracks panels but neither are particularly useful really. Who needs an 100 Damage Charge shot when you can do Double Point and Haksushaku SP at 50 Damage and do around 1000? _________________

Okay. Considering the vagueness of the questions, there's a long list to go through here...
BCC: Wood element is probably the most dangerous because of TreeBombs and the evil ebil Bad Spices. Fire is dangerous, and Elec is reasonable because of the Remobits and Sparkers. Aqua isn't strong. XD
EXE1: The elements here are pretty much balanced... Out of Elec, Aqua and Heat, Elec has the crappiest attacks aside from Thunderballs IMO, so I'd go with AquaArmour.... but it's very close.
EXE2: Heat and Wood Guts each have nice charged shots, but I'd go with Aqua Custom due to there being no 'great' Elec attacks besides Toadman, of course.
EXE3: Elec Custom FTW! Charged shot is nice for setting up the deadly combos in that game... Wood Custom is nice, too, for Tornado folders.
EXE4: WoodSoul's charged shot is nice after you Sandring the opponent in place for some decent damage. Chip-wise, D-code HeatSpread is still very damaging, so I'd probably go with that.
EXE5: It's really a toss-up for me from ToadSoul (Aqua) to NapalmSoul (Heat) Personally, I've had a preference for ToadSoul because of it's nice charged shot and chaos soul.
EXE6: Don't know. XD Probably Aqua because of the freezing abilities. Heat sucks, sadly.

Why use a charged shot at all then? _________________

I like fire. I especial PWNd with Firesoul, cause I could activate it in a fight with those fire breathing doll this, and use the lava panels they make to heal. Setting fire to stuff is fun. :] |

*cracks knuckles*
For EXE2 I always seemed to get Heat Guts. So I was always comfortable using it. Since I tend to like being (or trying to be) a powerhouse, I liked the attack power and longer range of the style. In EXE4, Fire Soul had about the same capabilities, so that was nice. But I won't go into it.
As for EXE5, I absolutely LOVED Magnet Soul. Magnet because of the paralyzing abilities and other stuff. Not to mention Chaos Magnet Soul was fun. =P
But overall, I have no true favorite element, since all elements have their strengths and weaknesses. _________________

>o> Toad's charge is Elec... I almost never use the regular soul, I'm a Chaos Soul ABUSER.
EXE1: It's been a long time since I played it...but I'd have to go with heat. I loved Fireman's chip. It was one of the only ones I could really get my hands on. Yeah, I know. Laugh!
EXE2: Didn't play it.
EXE3: It's personally a tie between Elec Guts and Wood Shadow. Because those are the only two styles I got XD Because with Elec Guts, you can shoot the zap ring to keep them still, then tear away with Guts Machine Gun, OR you can use the amazing Bolt Mega Chip...which I owned Bubbleman with in my first fight with him. Obeject in his field, and all 'em bubbles. FTW! For woodshadow, I personally HATE the Invis Charge shot. Once you max out your charge, you can just tear away with the tornado. Double damage on Sand panels I believe, and it worked wonders against Flashy when he "FullSynchro'd" and Gutsman. Seriously, I countered him like 10 times in a row. Easiest 100 bugfrags EVER.
EXE4: Never played it.
EXE5: I played ToC. I liked Chaos Tomahawk Soul AND Chaos Toad soul. They covered both bases, Dark wide for enemies who stand on the first two columns, and then the Dark Lance cleans up the back row. Easy kills for stand still enemies and Fuujin Racket.
EXE6: [spoil:23235c2587]I personally adored how fast Aqua Cross charged if I just maxed out my buster with ChargeMAX, SpeedMAX, and five ATK+1s. It was like Char Boop! Instead of Chaaaaaaaarge Boop! Simply splendid. But then I did use Tomahawk Cross to beat the game. I mean, kill Faltzer. That was good. The range made it excellent, since Ground Cross was impossible to use, No panels after all, and Dust Cross just took too long. Tengu Cross had no range. It seemed Faltzer was the superior wind user [/spoil:23235c2587] _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

i think the fire styles are the best
set up some grass pannels
and maybe some lava on your side
use blackbomb or a strong fire pa
charge the chip if possible
enjoy the fun ^^ _________________ [spoiler-y avatar alert!! :O] |

I like the elec element in most of the games. In BN2 Elec Guts was the first one I got and I stayed with it because I could stun the enemy and that would leave them open for a PA or a powerful chip. Basicly I try to stun and heavly attack in most of the games. |

In exe 2 my favorite would have to be wood style heat guts youd have to be really close to the virus and i didnt think the other attacks of the styles did much damage. I think the same thing for exe 3
In exe 4 Since the only elements i only had were thundersoul and fire soul im gonna say fire soul it gave you grass on the field to give more damage to openents and i think the buster charge attack was good two
Lastly in exe 5 toadsoul was definnatly the best element it could hid under water pannels, and its buster charge attack almost never mist my opponent |

Elec is a useful element. Fire tends to leave you open, but has a lot of power to back itself up, and water is a technical element- you can use it for multi-hit attacks, in 6 in can freeze on ice, and it can also, in some cases, trap the opponent in a bubble, which gives you a follow-up double-damage elec attack. Wood has been, by and far, the best element (in my oppinion) for the last few games. It helped against rampant Elec abuse (which happens a lot), gives the useful tornado-arm, helped with tornado folders in 3 (as well as time trials. Yamatoman always fell to my setsand + maxed out wood twister XD), helped create the invincable undershirt-woodstage combo, helped recover HP, and set you up in 4 to use a fire-folder. It also was really good in 5, because of Toma's range, as well as in 6 (Tomahawk again). There are also a ton of good wood chips. In 2 there was the Snakeman chip (highly deadly), then snakes, tornados, cornshots, lances, etc. Really good element, in my opinion.
Wood for the win! _________________

The lovely thing about any wood style from EXE3 (not sure if the chip I'm talking about was in EXE2) was that GaiaBlade made for excellent usage of Slasher and/or black bomb. And Variable Sword too if you didn't feel like doing combos. I've had my fair share of lovely experiences while using GaiaBlade. That's one AWESOME chip. _________________ The time is come. Furthering my choice that fire especially PWND, if you us ground style with fir element, you get the most amount of cracked panels, which mean less movement space for your enemy, especially if you use it in their middle row. |
