I did it in normal mode at level ninety-something with all the skills maxed out. Just like with Sin Harvest in the first game, you have to get to him quick to stop the move that drains all your health and mana, so high jump, double jump, and glide are all very important. I think I got tagged by "Heartless Angel" (or whatever the attack's called) twice during the last battle against him. I might have used a poition or two as well, but I don't use items very much. Oh, and Once More and Second Chance are also important abilities to keep you [barely] alive when Sephiroth hits you.

Does anyone know how to get that bonus during the tournament, the one that boosts your points. I'm trying to get X000 for the Titan Cup. The tournaments are the only things left on my Mini-Game list.

I get the feeling you're joking. Sure, KH2 doesn't pose too much of a problem in most cases for me, but that's because I'm a bit anal about getting almost anything obtainable, bent on completing practically anything within the game, and play defensively for the most part.

Sephiroth is, for the most part, unchanged from KH1. He's got a few new attacks, and of course a Reaction compatible attack, but fighting him is generally the same. He's easier in KH2, but only because you're now more capable of going toe-to-toe with him than before.

Because Sora's alot faster and more agile than before, interrupting Sin Heartless Angel is a lot easier, especially since he does it in the air and you can just you High Jump and Aerial Dodge to catch him quickly. Also, the Flash Reaction attack gives you a perfect opportunity to attack, which you didn't have in KH1.

I find that the best Keyblades to fight him with are Rumbler Rose and Ultima; Ultima lets your MP charge faster after you heal or use Reflect or whatever, while Rumbler Rose lets you smack the silver-haired pansy around with up to three rather nasty finishers.

Heeeey...Don't call the one of the objects of my fanboyism a pansy! XD
If it weren't for the whole, "Good always triumphs over evil" thing, he'd be whoopin our butts even more. :O
ANYWAY. I don't find Rumbling rose very effective, because when I do my finisher attack (Explosion) I knock him back too far to get the extra hit in.
And I'm too lazy to be bothered with the Ultima Weapon. XD
I use the Sleeping Lion, because I like combos. :O

Ack. Laughing I'm always afriad of getting its name mixed up with a certain female wrestling game...

Regardless, that's unusual, because whenever I use Rumbling Rose/Finisher Plus, the finishers always go in the order of Guard Break (placing the target above and behind Sora) followed by Explosion (which catches the target as it falls). And with both, that would always be followed by another Guard Break (which would likely catch up to the target unless it was knocked a long way away).

I'm honestly not sure how it would work with air finishers.

...And don't tell me you fought Sephiroth, hell, any solo boss, without Guard Break. That would be silly.

Guard break is an effective finishing combo attack for the sephiroth fight if you intend to use Rumbling Rose.

The Ultima Weapon isn't very hard to get at all, if you got every synth item located in the game thus far, along with the Orihalcum+ from beating the Goddess of Fate cup and turning in at least 1 of every synth material to the moogle. Totaling 7 Orihalcum+s. Equip Lucky Lucky on each party member and go bananas. Guarenteed you'll get at least one of every synth material in under an hour, if you know where to get them.

Also, a minor note, long combos against Sephiroth very often lead to you getting hit in the face, unless the combo is part of Trinity Limit. Anything past 5 hits takes too long on the ground, and then he'll recover and lock you in a combo. If you've got him in a position in which you know you can keep pulling off hits, it's fine, but still not a recommended risk.

Heh, didn't. I don't use it, because well, it's mainly for people with high attacks. Explosion is based on magic stats. So, is finisher plus used to allow the other finisher (Guard Break) to be executed? If so, jeez, I'm oblivious...

Not sure, I had high attack, so I just used Guard Break. I didn't use Rumbling Rose, either, but Guard Break didn't knock him back, and it moved me closer to him. Also broke is somewhat annoying habit of blocking a combo and ending it short.

Ultima Weapon is the best keyblade to use against him, as MP hastega makes Trinity Limit almost spammable.

I gave up on the bonus. I realized using Stitch gets me hundreds of points in only 1 round. I'm now trying to complete the last thing on the journal and that's to beat the Hades Paradox with 15,000 points. On my first try, I got 20,000+ points but I died at round 47 Sad

That is correct. Just continue pressing X after the first finisher hits to bring up the next finisher. I especially like using Rumbling Rose with Finishing Plus and Valor Form; Valor's got some of the nastiest finishers. Hell, you can even use Valor's ability to go to finishers early in a combo and just spam finishers.

As for using regular combos against Sephiroth, since approaching him from the ground is almost pointless, I always hit him with air combos, and he's never escaped from those.

I'm actually really good at getting him with ground combos, especially when I go into Berserk Mode. I have that ability normally, I don't have to use the Fatal Crest. When He knocks me into the air, I have the slightest bit of trouble. I can normally get away from his ground attacks, I have Glide. :D
When Sephiroth begins to use magic, I get owned in a second. ;.;

Can anyone please tell about the Combos and Magic? I played KH1 and I wonder if it still has the same stuff.

Put reflega on your shortcuts, when the magic balls appear, wait one second, then trigger reflega. As for the flame pillars, use quickrun to get away, as quickrun defies gravitational pull. When he goes up into the air and you know for sure you can't reach him, ready an elixir. Otherwise, High Jump and Aerial Dodge to get in his face quickly.

Another method is to jump into the air and use trinity limit the second he's up there, as Trinity Limit not only makes you immune to the spell, it homes in on him and continues to wail on him until the bar is out.

Combos can be modified. It can be long or short. Long as in 10+ hits and a 2 finishers. Short as in 0 hits and 1 finisher.

Most of the magic has changed.
Blizzard is more like KH1 Fire.
Fire produces a fiery ring around Sora.
Thunder is only 1 lightning bolt rather than many.
Magnet gathers enemies and harms them. It won't work on ghosts, bosses, and large heartless like Large Body. (Big round guys)
Reflect creates a wall to protect you and harm enemies who try to attack.
Cure uses up all the MP.

Also, once you use all your MP, it regenarates. It's almost like having infinite MP.

The only magic I found useful were Curaga, Magnega, and Thundaga.
I'm not much of a defensive guy so I don't use Reflect. I completely ignored Blizzard. Firaga is, in my opinion, inferior to Explosion.
Fenrir + Negative Combo = Instant Explosion

Most boss battles I believe, starting at sometime halfway into the game I believe...you can't kill bosses with micky you just run around and charge his drive meter and then use a button to bring Sora and his group back to life again,
