Now THIS looks interesting.

From looking at the video, there are only 3 playable characters: Sonic, Shadow, and that white hedgehog guy.

There will be vieicles like in StH, I'm just guessing that they'll be exclusive only in the Shadow levels. The white hedgehog can deflect attacks right to the enemy, that's what it looks like.

Overall, this is going to be AWESOME on the PS3 and 360.

Also, anyone notice Eggman's weight loss? :P

How can you not notice, that's the question should've ask. XD;

Anyway, the trailer brings a lot of hope after the 3-D games that wasn't completely enjoyable on the previous consoles. Hopefully this will mark off a new glory of the 3D Sonic games since SA2B.

Eggman looks human. And this extra character may not be too bad. But I heard he was matrix-ing bullets in the preview. And this princess, seems "interesting" but some people have said it look too much final fantasy for them. http://www.xboxyde.com/news_2888_en.html

Little update. :o

The new hedgehog is named Silver, according to IGN.

From the way his voice sounds, he might be voiced by Jason Griffith. Who ALSO voices Sonic and Shadow, so......all 3 of the hedgehogs are voiced by the same guy. XP

Well, from what I've seen, the game looks and sounds in-freaking-credible. If Sega avoids the mistakes they made with Shadow (namely, the controls and camera angles) then this game should be a hit.

Personally, I think that both the Princess and the thinner Eggman add more substance to the story.

The trailer did raise two interesting questions, though.

1. What in the hell was that lava creature?

2. What exactly is the Iblis Trigger, and why does this Silver guy want it so bad?

Either way, It looks to me like this game will combine a deep, involving storyline with the classic high-speed gameplay that the Sonic games are famous for.

It might just make me buy a 360 if it kicks enough ass.

This game does look tight but the one for Wii looks even better.

The main thing that looks promising is the scenes with Sonic. Nice, fast-paced action just like in SA1+2.
Shadow, again, disappointed me with vehicles. He's much faster than that. It slows down the game IMO which is a bad thing for a Sonic game.
As for the new one, I don't know. Also, the giant lava creature alone beats the final boss in Shadow.
I just hope this game isn't as repetitive as Heroes or Shadow. I don't want to beat the game 10 times just to unlock the final battle.

Okay, back up a sec.

Sega's doing Sonic games for the Wii AND the PSP?!

I'm more out of the loop than I thought.

Can anyone point me to a site where I can find more info and/or trailers for these games?

Just search for them on Gamespot or IGN. I'm sure both have a lot of info from E3.

Where did you hear that? The PS3 and 360 controls can't be too different because they have the same button schemes.
I might get this for the 360 mainly to boost my Gamerscore. The PS3 version has to offer me more if I want to get it.

...Maybe there will downloadable content?

And the weapons don't forget the weapons. Did not fit for him.

A girl from the podcast I listen to played it and she said the controls were sensitive as hell. >_< You could just push a little to the left and he'd go flying off the edge.

Perhaps it's a beta test.

Despite all the cool videos I have seen with this game, the 360 is still expensive and it will cost a lot of money! :puku:

I say, for the people who can't afford 360, let alone PS3, just wait 2-3 years. There will be no price drop for the 360 when the PS3 arrives. The good stuff will happen in 2007 or 2008. That's lots of time to save money.

Though, you have to ask yourself: How badly do I want it? (the console)
