Yeah, I know the coloring looks a little off ^^; Although it's not much of an excuse, I was a little distracted while making both of them; half-asleep with the Deiji one, talking to someone on the phone with the Legato one. Whenever I get around to fixing mistakes in them, the coloring will hopefully be one of those.
For those interested, a handdrawn pic of Legato is at my LJ *points to her sig*

And thanks Web, I usually do try to cover up the bases, so it's good to know I achieve it now and again ;P ^^

I don't really know if this counts as a sprite... If it doesn't, feel free to correct me on it ^^; I did it from scratch, pixel by pixel.. And I haven't cleaned up some of the edges yet, so it looks a little jagged ^^; But it was practice more than anything; I'll probably do more from-scratch sprites in the future, more traditionally done ones...

For those that don't recognize him, it's Cosmo from "Fairly Oddparents". A random decision XD; And it's more in my art style rather than the show's official style, which although the show's is more compact and probably more sprite-worthy, I found mine easier to use XD; ^^ And I know the arms are mismatched in length ^^; I'll probably fix that later...

EDIT

Whipped up a quick Wanda one XD In my art style, like the first one. Its canvas is a bit bigger than Cosmo's (and I was a bit lazy in a couple places, like her hand), but due to what I did on the first one, I had a bit of an easier time with this one...

*Grabs the Cosmoness and runs away with him* e_e

That's really very cute. I was looking forward to seeing the secret and I'm glad I waited rather than pressing for info! >D I really love the "Wands and wings" and the "floaty crowny thing". *Shot* Make more! >D

"Fop! I don't want Fop. I'm a Dapper Dan Man!" (whoever guesses this movie correctly gets a cookie)

the second one looks a bit wierd to me. i'm not sure why. i just don't like the part where the legs and torso connect. and the eye makes her look like she's high (to me, at least) with the redness in it. otherwise good job!

xfyre: Yeah, I know the second one looks a little weird ^^; Probably because I had to keep restarting it, and even then it looks odd... I like the first one better, anyway XD;

Unknown Neo: I plan to. As well as a couple DP sprites, probably after I finish an animation I'm attempting, with some other sprites of mine...

Takato: Yeah, I am a Code Lyoko fan *nod* And yep, completely from scratch.

Finding myself with nothing to do, but with inspiration to sprite, I thought of a character I wanted to do. Grabbing a sheet with a good base, I sat down and crafted out an R-Blizzardman sprite.

Yes, you read that right, R-Blizzardman. One of my characters (Legato, specifically, who has sprites earlier in this page) has Blizzardman for a Net Navi (although it's non-canon, obviously XD) and, while he's never used Cross Fusion, I thought it'd be a neat little challenge to make something out of that skiing snowball *snickers* A handdrawn pic (linked below) preceded the sprite so it wasn't completely from nowhere, but getting his colors down is a nice side effect...

I know a couple things look off here and there, but looking at this sprite and my earlier ones, I think I'm getting better. Especially considering this one's base-- Skullman. And I don't know how well you can tell it against the board's background, but some may notice a single dark pixel at the front of his face; that's supposed to be there, it's one of Legato's purple spot-freckles.

The handdrawn version can be found here.

Your skills are improving from when you first started, and drawing a sketch of the character that you are going to make is always a good idea. I think you did a pretty good job on this sprite.

I like the idea. It's interesting and the sprite/artwork. It looks very well compared to the navi.

Time for another update. Since I hadn't done spriting in a while, I decided to do an easy one to try and get myself back into it.

It didn't work. But I decided to post it anyway XD;

Here, a sprite of my version of Rock, which you can see handdrawn right here. I don't really know what possessed me to use one of the regular, standing sprites, but I might make it again in the future with one of the larger, in-battle sprites, just to try again.

This is the sprite from a recent sig banner of mine, isolated to just the sprite itself. I may add a little more color depth to it in the future XD; And yes, despite actually using the banner right now, I linked it anyway, because someday I'm gonna change my sig ;P

A Zero sprite was used as the base.

The sprite is well-done. I find it amusing how Forte's rear is bigger than canon will ever allow. XDDD I'm trying to see it as if his rear is a little bit held up in the air, but my brain is too contaminated. XDDD

Can't wait to see the next version of the sprite. =D
