|
|
In Battle Network 3 I have already beat alpha, got all the standard chips and beat Bass GS but Im stuck at the part where I have to beat the copy navis in the selected time with the extra folders. I have only beaten about 1 or 2. Its very frustrating >_< because I have looked everywhere for the best chip folder but I just can't get it. Please help me with this. |

My favorite folder in that game was the Mr. folder or the Famfolder... I can't remember which it was named. But you can get it at the TV station top floor where you fought desertman. |

There's a folder you can't get until after defeating the bugged tank that is perfect for the time trials. Go back to ACDC and talk to the man standing in the street; he'll give you a folder with Prism and the HeatSpread and BubbleSpread PAs. Against bosses weak to fire or water, you can just nail them with the PAs for 600 damage a piece, usually taking out a nice chunk of their HP. For all the other bosses, you can achieve the same results by waiting until you have the chips for the PA in the Custom screen, then planting the Prism in their center panel right before your Custom gauge fills up. (The Prism doesn't last long when placed, so you need to use it quickly.) Blast the Prism with the PA, and not only will you deal the 300 from the PA, but the Prism will reflect the attack and deal it again.
Aside from that, make sure you have FastGauge in your NaviCust and as many Custom+s you can get. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

That works.
The folder that I like to use is called "N1Fldr-C", I think. It's the one that revolves around the Snake chip for massive damage. It's a very viable strategy, but only seems to work against the early navis, since its potential for damage is not too good compared to some of the others. However, especially with Flashman, this folder makes combat easy.
Go to your NC, and install Fastgauge as well as every Custom+ program you can fit. Fastgauge is invaluable, as you get twice the oppotunities to play what have you on your opponents. I'd say shy away from 10 chips, so that you have the option to Add, as Adding cycles through more chips than drawing and not utilizing alone. (Think of it this way--If my hand size is ten crap chips, I can at best draw five and wait for next turn. But if my hand size is nine, I can cycle away the same five and draw six new chips at next turn.)
For the later navis, use the folder that has Tornadoes, Metagels, Burners, etc. Sandstage + Tornado is a deadly combiantion, especially against lumbering navis. In a pinch, the Spice chip of that folder is great, as it confuses your enemy, and when the grass has served its purpose, burn it away with Flameman. This works surprsingly well against Flameman as well as Darkman, since their major attacks only cover three ranks, and any stolen ranks are ignored. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! Fastgauge. It halves the length of each turn, in turn doubling the effective number of chips that you can play in each skirmish. Other than that, it's pretty much luck. That's all you can hope for--skill can not completely overcome a bad draw of the chips. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! Err, if you got a friend who got White, trade those Ground Style navi blocks if you are using Heat Spread or sort. Grass Panels make them quite deadly.
And as said, use FastGauge. _________________

I tend to use either N1-FolderC or ApprFldr... I'm not sure with the FamFldr, as I can't seem to get enough damage from it. To each his/her own, I figure.
In any case, the specific navicust setup I utilized if it is of any help, is Quick Gauge (FastGauge), Custom+2, Custom+1, Charge+1 (x3), Weapon+1, and Grass Stage with a Heat Custom Style. This is especially effective against Plantman, where I S-Ranked him in under 10 seconds...
I almost typed 'her' just then. ._.
But, really, as others have said already, there IS a lot of luck involved with this. Just keep trying again and again until you get a great chip draw, with hopefully being able to beat Serenade's time... _________________

Needless to add, but save right in front of a navi, talk, battle, see if the chips are good. If not, go Start + Select + A + B.
Trust me, this needs a lot of luck. I've done the restarting a dozen of times to finally get that one star. _________________

I disagree with the fast guage thing, it's a waste of space for these trials., except for Flas,Guts, and Metal man. Otherwise most of the trials are 30 to 45 seconds. As such I suggest using the reflect or Antidmg programs. Bosses like Yamato and Blues are easily dispatched with either one once you get used to the patterns. And for those annoying navi like Drill and Kingman, Anti Damage is critial to just surviving let alone beating them at all. Well, actually Antidmg for Drill, King, Bubble and maybe Darkman., and you can safely reflect the rest. I'm doing the same thing and drill's the only one I have left. =D |

How do you get Mr. Famous' Navi's chip in Blue? I faced him at S-rank with Collect installed, but it says No Data every time.
Do you have to have a certain number of Stars or what? |

This is why we ask you check Gamefaqs.
You can't get Punk's chip in EXE3. It's obtainable via special method only. A method not available to americans unless you cheat. _________________

although the Start Guide says that the "Punk" chip is number "??" with "92MB" its still not obtainable. |
Unless you cheat.
But meh, the chip is pretty mediocre...I never really saw much use for it... _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

I've started replaying MMBN3 and I have a question:
Why have I always bugs in the Navi Customiser when I put HubBatch in it or some others specials programs?
I'm doing the right error codes yet. I've even checked if the code is right on several websites.
(I'm glad they removed the error codes from the other MMBN)
Thanks in advance. |

Those programs are really powerful for their size, so an auto-bug is added to them for balance. You'll get that bug regardless if you enter the error code correctly.
The only way to avoid the bugs is to have the ever-large yet ever-useful Bug Stop. |
