BN2- Had the best of nearly everything; chips, PAs, bosses, story, design, music, Stylechanges, and the original power up system. The only problem? It takes too long to get new styles.

BN3- A close second, nearly as good as BN2 but slightly lacking. Fixed the problem with Stylechanges and added the NCP.

BN5- The team dynamic added a fresh experience to the series, though the bosses and process of encountering stronger viruses and getting stronger chips was severly lacking.

BN1- Props to the original! It was alittle on the easy side, and most of the chips sucked, but it was still fun.

BN4- Playing this one made me ill. Story? Non-existent. Bosses? Boring. Boss stages, which were normally fun and interesting? Gone, and the ones that were left were terrible. Chips? Pathetic. Souls? Pointless. Some games feature parts that are infuriating and end up being a test of your patientce. BN4 was nothing BUT a test of your patientce.

actually said better than i, a couple pages back.

My favorites would be 2 and 5
Well because 2 games of the 4 games with a battle system they also had great story lines IMO and 2 had many multihitting chips and 5 let you do liberation missions.

My favs of the ones i've played:
EXE4: The first one(s) i ever played and i actually liked it. Had great music, somewhat of a good plot to it and i loved the tournament theme to it... and i loved WindSoul and WoodSoul.

EXE2: QuickMan!!! The storyline in this one was great. Gospel was pretty violent too... radiation, hijacking a plane, trying to bomb a dam amongst other things. the license training was a pretty good challenge too.

EXE3: One chip: FolderBack! One of the best chips ever. Nice plot behind it with the return of WWW, Alpha was a major pain to beat but a good challenge, the secret area and the time trails were a big challenge too.

EXEBCC: VERY easy game. not much of a story to it, but playing as many different navis was a lot of fun.

These are my favorites, which I have played. They are in order of favorite to least favorite.

MMBN3:B-This games old, but fun. I like the chips, the folder options, and its really a great game.
MMBN2-REALLY close between this and BN3. I chose BN3 over this one, though, because I just don't like it as much, for some reason. I still play it, though, and it's great.
MMBN1: This game is old, but its better than many of the new games. Not much to say about it, though.
MMBN5:ToC-This is really good, but I just didn't like it. For one, the one copy of a PA per battle really angered me. Not really many non-PA combos you can make a folder out of. There are a few others.
MMBCC: This one was horrible. You don't even control your character. You just sit there twittling you thumbs while you try to blast your opponent with an array of bad chips because they're the only things that will fit. This game doesn't involve the player enough. It's too random. The only way to get chips is too buy them or win them from opponents. I could go on for a while.
MMBN4:RS-The BN4 games sucked. Period. I disliked many parts. It focuses too much on SoulUnisons, and I don't use them much at all. Still it's better than Blue Moon.
MMBN4:BM-The bottom of the pile. The lowest of the low. I hated it. It was trash. Okay, not that bad. But it was the worst BN game I have played.

BN3...

The net looked the best out of all of them, the bosses were actually
challenging, It had a good portion of secret things, while BN5 came in
second cuz i got to see Saito, 3 was still the best in terms of gaming.

1: BN3, Serenade, Easy Library filling, and Lots of Forte!!! ^_^

2:BN5, playing as other Navis, Liberation Missions, and [spoil:7343282f32]Saito[/spoil:7343282f32]

3: BN2: I dunno, while being the first EXE game I played, I didnt have Much interest in it. ( beat it last year) -_-;

4: BN4!!! HATEHATEHATE!!!! No story, short game, I liked fighting me, but they could have done way better with this one.

I have multiple favorites, in order from best to worst it would be battle network 3,5,2,BCC,1 and then 4. I did not like 4 that much because the storyline sucked :/ ... but it did introduce doublesouls :]

I like bn2 the best, because it was the first bn I've played. One was okay, but going back to play it after playing 2 was weird. I like three almost the same as 2, but I think that the game is just too over-rated, I still prefer 2 more. Four was bad, too repetive, I had a chance to get to forte, but I missed a few chips in my first play through an now I have to play for what almost seems like an eternity to get to him. 5 is okay, not good not bad. and I have yet to play 6, maybe this summer...

Has anyone here played 4.5 and bcc. They seem like okay games, but I haven't played them in awhile

Hmm....Well,2 and 3 are my favorites.I haven't played 6 or 4,(4 because of how awful I had heard it was),My favorite part of two was the boss music! It pawns! The story was rougher and darker in 2 also, which I enjoyed(didn't have a kiddi feeling like 5 did),Three I liked because of the story, and gameplay.I liked 2's net design more though.3's seemed kinda plain and boring.(Go Flame Guts Style!)I also think I was better at program advances in #2.So My favorite is 2 by about 0.000001%.

Battle Network 5 is nice because it lets you operate other navis, but I'm not very fond of the Liberation Mission system at all. It's reached the point where I don't even care about completing them in under so-many-phases or not, I just want to finish the thing without all my navis hanging onto life by a string. BN6 was easier than 5, but the ending was disappointing. I would have liked to see what had happened to all of the characters post-final-boss, but that probably would have been a lengthy process.

Let's see...

BN1 - Last game I've played. XD Bosses were too easy to kill, viruses were too hard to S-rank. And the Life/Dream Virus was waaay too easy.

BN2 - First game I've ever played. There were some really annoying parts in the plot, like getting mugged in Netopia (Ameroupe), or the Quickman fight. Still, it was pretty good, and I loved the Styles.

BN3 - Introduction of Navicust was great. I love having Super Armour without needing to keep a Guts Style on. The Secret Area there was also unique, as it had a "plot" which continued off a bit from the main plot. However, it does have its annoying points, like Kingman, and the Time Trials.

BN4 - Meh. They took out the compression codes, and collecting level 2 virus chips in game 3 onwards was a pain. And Shademan was annoying not only in battle, but in dialogue too... ><

BN5 - Playing as other Navis was cool (LOL @ 300HP Blues at the start), and the Chaos Unisons were fun to mess with. Liberation Missions (especially the secret area missions) were annoying, as were some viruses.

BN6 - Beast Out? Yes! Crosses which work like Souls and Styles combined? Yes! You can combine both as well? Yay! Link Navis were also fun to play with, and the Navicust got a nice upgrade from previous games too.

So, the ranking, from best to worst (in my opinion)... 6, 3, 2, 5, 1, 4.

yeah, i would have liked to see that too, with the "grown-up" sprites of Lan and the crew. i agree that it would be a lengthy process as well, but i think it should have been done anyways ... it was the last of the series! Crying or Very sad

i couldn't have said it better myself. 6 and 3 were my favorites so i would have a hard time trying to decide which one to pick first. i would put 1 before 5 simply because i started with that game first.

Overall, probably 3... Though 6 gets pretty close too.
6 would be my favorite, but it wasn't exactly amazing in the difficulty department besides a few bosses. (CIRCUSMAN!! Mad )
