Yeah he died quite needlessly if he hadnt decided to do what he did he wouldnt have been in stellars path but then again stellar is quite stooooopid to try to attack freedon

SEED, cause Freedom Gundam was my favorite. I have a highly detailed 1/144 Freedom Gundam I painted. I thought it was 1/100, but it turned out to be a 1/144 in a bigger box. I'm not complaining though. I had a Wing Gundam Zero 1/100 model, and it's design was so bad@$$. It used to be my favorite, along with it's series, and also God Gundam and it's series, but I moved towards SEED.

Yeah now that I look back at it what was the point of Heine anyway. He had maybe 20 lines in all and appeared in 4 eps with about 4 frames of battle footage. Not many cared about him because we all knew he was gonna die 5 eps before he even appeared. I mean geez what a waste. He's almost as bad as those old universal century guys who's purpose in the plot was to show up for 3 eps, die, and depress the hero. Anyway Heine was a massive waste. They should have introduced him back in episode 15 when Athrun joined Minerva and then killed him now. At least everybody being upset would have made sense then.

I think Heine is another version of Nicole from the original seed...

a nice person...

he had to die to make you all ask just one question: Why did he have to die in this war?...wars are so meaningless sometimes.... what do u get from killing people(main point)

I guess Gundam Seed Anime tends to be like that when it focuses on the darker emotions.... I do like the plot... but the emotions tend to get the better of me sometimes

I blame Heine's death on whoever built his suit. Looking back at it what kind of moron puts all of the weapons in a suit's right hand and nothing in the rest of it. Once the hand is cut off you die. Zaft's designers are really lazy.

Nah the suit was fine even if he had a gun in his left arm he would be able to do anything because Stellar would still charge at him.

Actually I find that scene funny... Did he do it to protect the freedom because the kira didn't kill him? This is just a thought... because it looks like he blocked the attack on purpose.... or was he trying to backstab the freedom... Confused

I'm not quite sure what exactly he was trying to do in that scene. He couldn't backstab the freedom cause he had nothing to stab it with due too all his weapons needing the right hand to work. Unless he was gonna hit Kira with his shield it looked more like he was drifting and wasn't paying attention. I guess we will never know.

He wasnt paying attention. My guess is that he could've rammed him with his shoulders since those got spikes. He died the way TM Revolutions other character Miguel died..he just didnt pay attention....

You can find the first SEED series in your local video store. It's been licensed for a long time. Or watch it on YTV or Cartoon Newtwork(don't watch CN version its censored to hell and only 3 eps away from ending anyway) People did still sub it but those torrents are long gone. Unless you have Kazaa or something you will have to buy the DVDs unless you get YTV.

Well... Heine's death was... Lame... Why the hell did they let him die already? At least Nichol had time to develop as a character... Heine had like 2 episodes... at the most... With the preview of the next episode, it looks like they're pulling a Resident Evil by forgetting completely that some one died...

Heine died quickly because he was voiced by TM Revolution, a famous Japanese musican and fan of anime. While he is very willing to guest star on Anime's and is very good at it he is a very busy man and can't spend very long doing this, and thus the characters he voices don't tend to live very long. He also voiced the pilot Kira fights at the beginning of the orginal Seed, Miguel. Before he got the role Heine was rumored to be introduced earlier, and last a little longer than he did but still was meant to die around episode 27 or so. So that is why Heine only lasted 4 eps. A pity but oh well. Maybe they will make him a Variation Ace.

For the record though all guest stars on gundam don't live very long. Andy's girlfriend in Seed was another singer voice and she died in 3 eps.
