Either it's just me, or that seems to be a modified Plantman.exe recolor...

It is a recolored edit of a Plantman.EXE sprite, but it is fairly good, and passes the requirements to make it more then a simple recolor. That said, I would like to point out that if you have a problem with a link, please send a PM to the moderator of the section that you are posting in so that they can help you. Don't make a double post to try and correct it please.

*sigh* We wouldn't have these kinds of troubles if we could edit posts...seriously, how do you abuse an edit function >.>;;

It's pretty good. The flower was made a bit wavy so it's like a flame, and I like it. Keep up the effort, Temperman!

To answer your question as well as the questions as those new to the forum, the reason that the edit function was disabled is because of abuse of it. How it was abused is that there was a dispute between two forum members, one member deleted and edited their posts in order to make it look like another was the instigator of the problem, and try to obsolve themselves of any wrong doing. Luckily there was a moderator that saw what was going on, and was able to keep a record of it before it was all edited out. Afterwards the edit function was disabled to prevent another incident like that from happening. It happened once before and was removed, but was added back again when the staff thought members could use it responsably. But then it happened again and now it is gone once more. That was the abuse that lead to the edit function to be removed.

That's really awesome. o__o The modifying was simple, but I think it's wonderful. I love the "overworld" sprites especially. I don't know why I like this so much, I just do. Great job! :]

That is, in fact, stolen.

Temperman, or Lavaman as he is known to the general populace, was originally a comission I did for a friend of mine, Cestus of Dakralai, that was later adapted into a personal character of mine.

To add insult to injury, that is the Lavaman I uploaded to my Freewebs account.

I'm not sure if this is any proof, really, but this is Snowman, the polar opposite to Lavaman. Notice the other-than-plantman similiarities. For those of you who go to bobandgeorge.com, you'll notice that Lavaman/Temperman appears in Sakurai Diaries, by Azureman. I assure you that this was under my cameo, not 'Temperman.EXe's.

I, sir, am shocked and appauled that you would do such a thing. If you cannot sprite for yourself, do not even try to fake it.

Any arguments about this can be taken up via pm/e-mail/IM.

While this gets sorted out... may I suggest water marking or something similar to avoid a mishap next time? ^_^;

I think the guy who posted it may have ment "this is my navi" rather than "I made this sprite"

Only PD works like that.

Temperman/Lavaman is not public domain.

Yeah, I just love how people will sometimes read or skip over things in the rules for a section of the forum. Anyway, would you please send any and all information you have on this to a moderator of this section, which would be myself of Sketch. You can do so via PM, then one of us can look into things a bit more and see if what is being reported is true, and take appropriate action.

Regardless, that's what I think he ment. Even if you are apalled, I don't think you should worry too much, seeing as he hasn't returned at all.

If you want to settle a complaint, may I suggest PMing Sketch or Core? =o

It seems to me that the Temperman.EXE guy is still claiming ownership over the character itself and I think that it is not allowed anyways. >_>

This issue is being looked into, please refrain from holding discussions in this thread about if the guy is or is not claiming the sprite to be his by the way that you think he meant to post it at the creation of this thread. If you have any further information pertaining to this case, please feel free to send it to me via PM, if not stop arguing as to what Temperman.EXE's words meant.

*update 18:30*

It has been confirmed that the sprites do in fact belong to Berg (Eternal Berg), and were posted here by Temperman.EXE without his consent or knowledge before hand. Since there is no way to tell if Temperman posted them just to show the navi off saying that it is what his navi looks like, or if it is sprite theft due to his being AWOL, I have no choice but to lock this thread in accordance with the rules.

All forum members posting artworks, be it fanfiction, artwork, sprites, AMV's, and other forms of art are only suppose to post their own work and not the work of others. Failure to do so is counted as Theft, since you are basically claiming the work as your own and reposting it without the permission of the original creator.
