It's odd, going into radio waves is almost a step back. Consider all our technology is generally moving away from it...it could be an interesting take though. In terms of gameplay the lack of Navis doesn't mean a great deal but I don't like it from a story perspective.

It may just be my opinion, but that sounds completely retarded.

I'm sure a lot of people thought the idea of Rockman EXE was retarded. A fresh approach is a good thing though! Even though this one looks to be re-using a lot of elements they have a chance to start again relatively fresh and experiment with some things.

I wonder if the 'roads' in these radio waves will relate to the stylus somehow. I just had this image of dragging the character along after looking at one of the pictures again.

Er... Seems the pictures are dying. >_>;

Well, if they stay dead, here's some links. Uploaded myself. ._.

I'd say it looks like a CF and ZX combination.
The CF concept was anime-only, and ZX reduced repliloids to armor...

The atomic-fire translation pretty much suggested a setting similar to the X-series' relative to the original Rockman series.
It won't be an X-EXE, but an EXE-X.
At least, that's how I see it.

Actually, in the new scans, if you take a look at the side of his head....that could be it. :]

He's not a Navi though so why would he need a Navi Symbol? Besides the button on the side of the helmet is just shiny, it's not a symbol. If you don't believe me go and look at Rockman.EXE's artwork, you'll understand what I mean quickly.

*was referring to this shot* : http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v257/Sef_V2/uporg417101.jpg

Besides, just because he's not a navi doesn't mean he can't have a symbol or mark of any kind.

Having symbol =/= navi

...and likewise...

Navi =/= Has to have a symbol

-Operators wear the symbols as well. Are they navis?
-Forte's symbol for the most part has been slashed off. Is he no longer a navi?
-Digimental-evolved Digimon have symbols all over their bodies but some don't. (a few of the ones that haven't appeared in the anime) Does that mean they're not digimon?

Yay! ^_^ Maybe I'll finally get some official sprites and/or pics to use for my online nic! Hehe.

Maybe...or maybe not. Heh. Its as likely as anything I suppose. Pure speculation at this point. Maybe the kid's last name is "Volnutt" and he finds Trigger.EXE in a lab somewhere. Or... maybe this is the distant future (look at the kid's outfit) and that's Netto's son and he was given Rockman or something. The red circular parts on the sides of the helmet do have black diagonal lines in them just like Rockman's had. You have to look hard, but they're there. I dunno what's up with the chest symbol, but it probably has something to do with the guy's necklace. It reminds me of an Ultraman design. Heh.

Has anyone been able to translate something from these recent scans? Maybe there's a clue in them somewhere.

Heatman of Atomic Fire did it this morning (while I was still asleep...I wanted to be the first to see it Razz Razz Razz)

Basically...yes, the navi is Rockman...sorta. And there's a possibility that the character you see as Rock's new operator is (Spoilers to EXE6)[spoil:7e5deaa269]Hikari Raito[/spoil:7e5deaa269] Yes, this is a continuation of EXE, hence why Netto and old Rockman are shown in the background. That navi you see is actually Rockman merged with his operator. (cross fusion?)

As for my theory on the Denpa Sekai (Radio World) as opposed to the Dennou Sekai (Cyber World).

Some believe Radio is a step backwards...

I find the concept to be more advanced.

Speculation Time:

If I'm interpreting this correctly, it's the same as the Dennou Sekai/Cyberworld but it's no longer hosted inside of machines. Meaning the Denpa Sekai is merely floating as an abstract virtual world and thus, you can essentially plug in anywhere. Basically, it's a wireless version. Plugging (or should I say....tuning in) into the Denpa Sekai from a specific place will end up with the navi appearing at an EXACT corresponding location in the Denpa Sekai. Thus it is no longer a game where you simply switch from one world to another, having to make this switch as a Plug-In point. Now both worlds have to be navigated at once and this is possible with the dual screen system.

In an easier explanation...

Here, the navi enters the Denpa Sekai by tuning in (it's radio waves, so it's in the air rather than in the machinery like in the older games) and your navi is basically floating in the floating world which you cannot see yet it is there. (definition of radio waves) From there on, both characters navigate both worlds in order to work together. The operator is no longer restricted to staying at the plug in point to operate his navi.

So instead of a solid network run through electronics linked together, we now have a floating abstract network.

/Speculation.

The art style kinda actually reminds me of a Command Mission/EXE hybrid. That's just me, of course.

I'm actually going to go out on a limb here... everyone remembers EXE3, with the... what were they called? Those... chairs great... I can't remember. Anyways maybe the radio waves could be a safer, more stable version of the net for humans. Infact, it could be like a ZX EXE in which people have adapted their abilities to protect themselves on the net instead of using Navis all the time, creating a personal experience of the Network. THat's just what I think, of course... >>

The hero in casual looks odd... I dunno maybe I just don't like futuristic fashions. (manties from Zero, anyone?)

Also someone told me this was X again some how.... I really want to strangle the next person who tells me that this is some sort of incarnate of X. Sort of like a regular person's impression that Blues EXE was Zero when this first came out...

I'm okay with the clothes though I wouldn't wear them myself due to my own style being superior in my eyes. Razz Razz Razz

Although it's funny...I did predict that the new hero of the EXE sequel if there was one would fashion some sort of trademark eyewear on their head...only I thought it would be dark sunglasses.

If I thought the current Rockman.exe games were stupid, I'd think this new concept is even more stupid. At least the originals made some sense.

Well, the whole concept is cool, but how do you think the anime's going to work it in?

Sorry to double post, but... who's the old guy from the scan shown in the beginning? I recognize him... He did an opening comedy (short and a Star Wars spoof, but very funny), but WHO IS HE?

Wow, that's a lot.

Now, something I have to get outta the way right now: I. do. not. like. the. humans'. designs.

Oh, and after squinting real hard at that blurry pic of the DS, I am 100% sure that they are retaining those midget sprites that they've been using since EXE4.

Radioworld, after reading other's comments, makes sense as an abstract thing. It's practically the cyberworld, but without servers in the real world. Which makes me the fourth of fifth person to say that... But wouldn't that make netcrime even worse? As a criminal could simply jack his navi in anywhere and have them remotely access systems?

As for this psuedo crossfusion thing, I'm gonna wait until more info comes out about it before passing judgement.

Of course they wouldn't go back to the old sprites... The current sprites are not bad, but I would like them just a bit taller. They're a little too small right now. But the BN1-BN3 sprites are too big (well, they seem big since I've been playing BN4 lately).

Actually, (EXE 6 Spoilers)[spoil:87d789d633]there is some kind of security for the net. Play to the end of EXE6 and pay careful attention to Colonel and Iris' scene[/spoil:87d789d633]

Oh, I wouldn't know that, seeing as I'm going to go downtown to buy it on Friday, but I suppose that something like that would be used.
