I love the main themes from both Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 (Simple & Clean, Passion), as well as the victory theme from all the Final Fantasy games (actually, anything by Nobue Uematsu). I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Mario themes yet! *Cues Mario music- One of the best themes ever.

I like the majority of Pokemon and Halo 2 songs too- Fire Emblem does have some great music. Cid the Genius and One-winged Angel are some of my favorites by Uematsu. DDR music is all great (*loves Jelly Kiss, Raindancer, and Butterfly).

I always did like the cave music from the SNES game Yoshi's Island. And several other ones, but that one sticks out in my mind right now XD

I also like a whole spread of Megaman music, from Cutman's theme in almost every game he appears in, to Blues' theme, like what plays at the end of Power Fighters. Heck, I just like the Power Fighters music in general XD ^^ (Especially also Forte's second ending theme <3 )
I also always liked the main theme for BN3, plus the SciLab theme in that game in all honesty ^^; That, and several of the battle themes XD And I like "Fight with Tron" from Legends 2.

It's not exactly "jumping on the bandwagon" but I do have a few FF7 tracks I love; I adore the boss music ("Still More Fighting") and the main theme (which is what plays at the beginning, Valtz). From FF9, I always loved the straight battle music (as opposed to boss music) and the song that Garnet sings, if I remember it correctly...

So yeah, just sign me up for the "Loves any and all battle music" list XDXD

I just remembered the theme for Locke from FF6, another fave in my life.

And the music when you fight Shin Gouki in Capcom VS SNK 2 is just awesome.

Hirokazu Ando is the correct name.In fact,I agreee with you.The music in SSBM rocks. Most of the songs in the game are really well composed. In fact,I can't get the Mario song out of my head.*whacks head*

I kinda listen to alot of music so I can't specify much. Currently I like the battle themes for all EXE games and Kingdom Hearts, from KH I LOVE Hazardous Highway iwannathepsf2set, then there's some of the Starfox 2 music. Another thing that I like it's when I use "Earphone 3" on Pokemon Yellow and just use my left earphone when against trainers... It's sorta serious this way. I also like SMRPG's soundtrack CULEX!!!, Super Mario All-Stars remixes for old games (they're remixes... right?), Kirby's Dream Land 3's music is sorta catchy, Rockman Zero has some neat music, and FFVII has it's nice set. And I almost forgot, I also like Brawl's opening song *shot* I dunno why, but I like it.

There is more... I just can't remember it... I think...

I'd have to say that one of my favourite video game soundtrack would have been from Crono Cross. The music was one of the things that made that game enjoyable for me, and I can't think of a single piece of music I disliked.

Then there's the soundtrack of Silent Hill 3. I generally like Silent Hill music anyway, but this one gave the game a sense of realism that was absent from the previous games. I loved the way the vocal tracks blended in so well with the actual game. ( Like Letter of Lost days being played on the car radio! )

And finally, Sonic Adventure 2. A game so fun it broke my Dreamcast! The music was fun, addictive, and had a strange "happy-ing" effect. Let's not forget the main theme of the game, and the final battle..

Of course there are various themes from games I absolutely adore, like the remixes of Zeros theme in the Rockman Zero series, the tournament battle music in BN4, and various tracks from Final Fantasy 9. But that would leave me here all day.

There seems to be a popularity among Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and the Chrono Cross games.
Here's my top 5:

[list=1]
[*] Never Turn Back, Shadow the Hedgehog's final ending
[*] Unknown from M.E., Knuckles the Echidna's theme, SA + SA2
[*] Battle Score (against Nebula Grey) in Rockman.EXE Movie, Hikari to Yami no PROGRAM
[*] Naruto Anime Action Theme (chanting and drums)
[*]Digimon Dub: Davis' Theme "Let's Kick it Up"

I always say, if it's composed by a member of the Holy Trinity of ex-full-time Square composers (Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda and Yoko Shimomura), then it's going to be a great soundtrack. For me, it's kinda hard to choose a favorite track, especially because there always seems to be a higher quality composition or remix than what is in the game. For example, One Winged Angel was OK in FF7, but Advent: One Winged Angel hands down blows it away (But I personally wouldn't call it game music, technically, even though you can. That's just me.) Or if you listen to the great live remixes from the monthly Dwelling of Duels competitions, you know what I mean.

But some of my fave in-game tracks are: FF7-Fighting, FF8-The Extreme, FF9-Hunter's Chance, KH-Hand in Hand, KH2-Tension Rising, A Fight to the Death, LoZ:OOT-Gerudo Valley, Chrono Cross-Omni Dragon (Final) Battle, Xenogears-Awakening, Stage of Death, most Megaman tracks, but tops are MMX-Zero's Theme or X6-Gate Battle, CT-Corridors of Time, Undersea Palace, Schala's Theme, Kirby-Green Greens, plus some old games with pretty cool tracks that probably nobody remembers half of 'em 'cause they'd never get an OST: Blaster Master, Michael Jordan's Chaos in the Windy City, Spiderman & Venom in Maximum Carnage, NBA Jam, NFL Quarterback Club, Crystalis, Kickle Cubicle, Whomp 'Em and Maniac Mansion, just to name a few. Unless you want me to spend a few pages on the topic...

Tails Theme song - Sonic adventure 1
The Sky minigame music in Sonic adventure 1 is catchy.
Netnavi battle music in MMBN1

I can't think of any more so, y'know.

Yes, it was a cool selection. I've been looking for the thousand-year tracks but haven't found anything.
