A very funny episode indeed Laughing

First of all, the return of Crossdressing gauss. Who doesnt love that Crossdresser XD
Tomahawkman and Gutsman getting flattened was also fun. Rockman and Elecman were the only smart ones =P

ElecBeastCross was introduced in this episode, and unlike the Falzar Crosses, Netto actually uses the Greiga chip after connecting Count Elec and his own pet.

In the end, Ann Elec takes the giant diamond, even though the letter next to it says: Tesla Magnets.

I can almost guarantee we'll get Dust and Ground Crosses in the next two episodes. Why else would the writers bring Dotarou and Press from Beyondard? That's a shame, though... because that's two more Falzar Crosses. Grega's losing.

I like how Gauss was reading a "Newsweeks" magazine on the plane. I also like the continuity with Elec Mama and the original EXE.

This is just my guess based off that note but I think Mama Elec's real name is Tesla (possibly Magnets). So we can go under the assumption, at least in the anime, that Tesla was named after her grandmother. Trying to read that cursive letter best I could, it looks like it says:

"Oh, you're a hopeless boy, aren't you?
____ this is the (last?)
____ (I'm sure if something was written, "guard") it carefully, Jack.
- Tesla M." (Elec symbol)

So despite her tough love for Jack, I think in the end, this episode was trying to show the...ahem...softer side of Mama and Jack's relationship, as she left something special for him but not for any other member of the Elecital clan. Awwwwwwwww... T_T

This is probably my most pointless post, but I always thought Tesla's name was "Telsa". I don't know why.

Yes, Elec Mama's real name is "Tesla," but no, her last name is not Magnets. Her last name is "Electel." So if it was signed Tesla Magnets, then they mean Tesla Magnets of EXE5, not Elec Mama.

Hm. I think it was Elec Mama, seeing as how it was her voice-over reading the letter. Plus, it wouldn't make much sense if it were Tesla as in Gauss' daughter.

Which makes it all the stranger that it's signed with an "M." Maybe it's balanced with the Electel symbol though.

The battle scene with this episode was neat, especially as an ElecMan fan :D A very feel-good ending too.

I personally like the way Crosses are compared to Souls. Rock gets their personality :3 Elecman + Elec Cross High Five = Win.

True, Seiko, but as I forgot to put in my little theory, she probably was technically "Magnets" if she was married to a guy with that last name and then divorced, which would help explain the difference in last name for the brothers. Gauss kept his father's last name and Jack kept his mother's maiden name, Elecital. Eh, it happens. For all we know, that diamond could have been placed there before said possible divorce. Since I'm sure we don't have that much background on them, who knows. Like I said, just a wild theory since I don't speak Japanese and have no real answer, but visually how the story played out at the end, that's what it looked like to me. Also, could just be that they meant to put Tesla E. and somebody just never caught it...like we haven't seen errors in consistency before.

Wasn't there that episode where Jack and Gauss were revealed to be brothers?
I remember Jack explaining that when Gauss made a name for himself, he changed the family name to Magnets, then left Jack (the family failure) with the old, disgraced family name.

Hmm, it was a cooky episode but I like it and the battle scenes felt a little more dynamic, even though they were generally still panning action sequences.

In the original EXE, Elec Mama was listed in the credits with her voice seiyuu as "Tesla Electel." My guess is that the anime, being the inconsistent little boogers they are, forgot this and decided her last name is now Magnets.

But here's a theory.

EXE30 was pretty much a weird flashback kind of thing. That episode was basically some kind of big mirage... And Elec Mama was basically portrayed as Jack remembered her. So maybe... Elec Mama got married to an Electel, had Jack, divorced, got married to a Magnets, had Gauss, and divorced again (or died... or something). So the memory of Elec Mama that Jack had in EXE30 was of his mother as an Electel (since he hates Gauss and the Magnets family name so much). But in actuality, she's now a Magnets.

But of course, you know in reality that ShoPro just... forgot.

Just like how anytime a flashback is shown to moments in EXE or even before EXE, everyone has Advanced PETs, even though there were Plug-in PETs before that. But then they contradict their own contradiction in Stream when Barrel goes back in time and plugs in, but he has to use a special adaptor since the plug-in ports are now styled to be used with the Plug-in PETs instead of the infrared technology of Advanced PETs and Progress PETs. They tried to revive Elec Mama in the series but still didn't get it quite right.

Another odd thing about EXE 30. We know that it was a dream of some sort, as Jack says that it was one while he's standing in the ruins of the mansion, yet in the next scene, Netto and Rockman are talking about the events of the Elec Death Match (or whatever that thing was called). So, how could two people have the same dream, one of them know it, and the other not? I know that this is Netto we're talking about here, but I don't think he'd be so clueless as to be unable to tell reality and a dream apart.

EXE 30 was a good episode, but yeah, the writers were on crack.
