Forgive me if I'm restating a previous comment, but I just heard that the manga vol. 10 won't comeout until SEPTEMBER! What's the deal?!? That's almost 8 months overdue!

Alright, let me explain. Volume 10 cannot be released before that date because it's running too close with the releases of the Manga books in Japan.

If my understanding is correct, Coro Coro releases a 'chapter' or two of the manga in a monthly basis (Which you get a summary of courtesy of Malik every month). After some time a full tome containing a certain amount of chapters is released.

Now, in Japan the latest tome released was volume 11 and that was very recently. I believe Viz is intentionally delaying their release to give time for another volume to be compiled and released in Japan, otherwise they'll end up cutting it too close, and in the end they'll still end up delayed waiting for each new volume to release.

I am not sure if the EXE manga has a set release date for each new volume, but I've seen other mangas -like the RMZ manga- taking several months between releases. I assume Viz would rather delay the release of 10 and start translation for 11 while 12 is compiled and released.

I still think it's odd, because usually, the sequential release dates of volumes 1-9 were 2/3 months apart, and suddenly volume 10 is ten months afterwards. I just don't get that. Maybe I'm just stupid, but it seems wierd.

This makes a lot of sense for the manga, but I'd like to know why Viz decided to also delay the DVD releases. We have EXE plus all of Axess to release there... no chance in catching up with Stream (if one is ever to come).

'm not sure if it has to do with their release of boxed sets now. It could be they're preparing to release the series in boxed sets this time, rather than individual volumes. Although, that's merely especulation in my part.
