All I can say is a job well done!
Having these subbed is making me go back and watch the series with a better understanding of what's going on. And the next episode is a biggie, what with [spoil:97e0ffd74a]understanding how Copyroids function and Meijin's relationship![/spoil:97e0ffd74a] _________________

Another excellent release by the team of Puku and WPP, Flawless quality and great translation.
I'll be honest, The Hecxz-ellent one doesn't know a lick of Japanese, due to the lack of a Jap Class in High School, lol, but Even missing out on part of Axess and all of Stream due to it not being subbed yet (which im not complaining, so I hope Imuzi and crew don't take it that way). Im still able to understand what is occuring in Beast right now due to what I seen previously, that and not to mention, so far everything done doesn't relate back to what happened in the previous seasons.
Though, the noob that I am, im interested in how these Zoanoroids was born, considering they take on the form of previous net navis that Rockman and gang have encountered. (DON'T SPOIL IT FOR ME)
Just keep the releases coming, and from me......seriously.....Thank you guys and gals, I luv's ya bunches for this!

Kudos to Hydroman for translating this episode :D
That monologue of Roll's was a tough one. I wouldn't have known that it was based off a Japanese children's story.
I've a question, though: why go for "Zoan" instead of "Zoano" like it said in the credits? _________________ TGS 2007:MISSED! T_T |

To be honest, Zoan sounds a bit better off the tounge anyways. I guess it's sorta like the Falzer / Greiga issue too, we go with the spellings that read best. I had the same question before I started translating.
Actually, all the characters in the anime call Zoanroid "Zoanoroido."
I googled "Zoan," and I found the following article in Wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/-zoan
Quote: | The suffix -zoan is used primarily as a tool in zoology to form words used for categorising animals based on their evolutionary origin, life-history, growth-form or ecological preferences |
Quote: | Such words are formed from Greek or Latin roots with the terminal -zoan ("_____-zoan" basically means "_____ animal".) |
According to this article, "Zoan" is not a prefix but a suffix.
For me, it's a small difference.
Some Japanese tend to think that they can make a new term with attaching "-roid" or "-loid" to some prefixes.
Zoanroid is a kind of animals or beasts.
Maybe Capcom knows the meaning of "-zoan," and used "-zoan" as a prefix, and attached it to "-roid."
This is my mere guesswork, but I decided to spell "Zoanroid" by that. _________________ I am a Japanese, and one of translators of Puku Anime.

That sounds logical to me, nice to know what Zoan means, makes everything make more sense as to why they call themselves that.
This release is like the first one in my opinion, which is very good. Everyone is doing a great job on this. _________________

????...So, wait a sec...???? Based on Hydro's post here, am I to assume we technically should be calling this episode "Zoanroids" instead of "Zoanoroids," then? I understood keeping something like "I'm Zoan Plantman" for example, but for editing purposes, am I supposed to edit out the "o" in Zoanoroids now? I believe in all his scripts I've done so far, including Ep. 8 now, Hydro has kept the "o." -_-; Excessively confused!
Suddenly a lesson my high school French teacher drilled into my class' head is coming back to haunt me. "Sometimes the most important thing you need to remember when learning a new language is one simple letter." As he had the word "shirt" on the board and then erased a certain letter...or vice versa, if no higher-ups were in the room. (Don't try this at home, kids.)
And so I'm not just dwelling on that issue, very nice job with this episode everybody. I eagerly await #3!! _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

Oh, I am sorry, Rock Miyabi.
As you said, I wrote "Zoanoroid" in the translation of the early episodes.
Maybe I was undecided which to use then.
I would like you to revise them, and please ask Ryouko or Izumi about terminology.
This is the first time that I translate the anime into English, so I don't know very well about such terminologies in English. _________________ I am a Japanese, and one of translators of Puku Anime.

Ah, I jumped to a wrong conclusion...
I wrote "Zoanoroid" until the last translation.
Since I stopped translating for a while, I was sure that I wrote "Zoanroid" in my translations.
In the page of "episode summaries" of Rockman.exe Online, it is written as "Zoanoroids."
Probably we should go with "Zoanoroid."
I'm sorry again for making you confuse. _________________ I am a Japanese, and one of translators of Puku Anime.

I think when pronouncing it, "Zoanoroid" sounds much better. Thus, we'll probably stick with that spelling for the rest of the series. It's best to keep terms fluid in the translations from the beginning too, so fans don't get confused. :)
In either case, it's just a minor spelling, so I don't think it's too big of a deal. _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great. When you go talk to them, it doesn't go so well." - Miyamoto

Not your fault at all, Hydro. Sounds good. Makes the most sense to non-Japanese speaking me, but I'd rather get it right than just go by what I hear. So Zoanoroid it is. Puku staff confusion over.
