Well, there's a manga for Star Ocean 3 that started after EX ended, if that counts.
Anyhow, a more recent one... Konjiki no Gash Bell.
It wasn't an absolutely horrible ending by any mean, but pretty mediocre compared to the couple episodes right before it. |

I suddenly remember another anime.
Shaman King. It seems that zeke/hao is defeated although he can just re-incarnate again and at the end, the oracle bell rings for the continuation of the tournament and we don't get to see it >_> |

The ending of Elfen Lied left so many questions unanswered and it had a creepy, REALLY creepy undertone in the end. And the OVA wasn't even a continuation of the series, it was a .5 episode. To be precise, 10.5 episode. And it was a bit ecchi in the end. But not as much as the series itself.
And let's not forget the Soukyuu no Fafner ending. It left very little hope for a future in my heart. [spoil:02e65f8a0d]Especially since, without Soushi, poor Kazuki has to go with Maya...I like her, it's just that his scream when Soushi disappeared was so heartshattering that it made me believe that he truly, really loved him.[/spoil:02e65f8a0d] And the OVA for it was just a prequel movie that was even more sad than the series. Well almost, but I still cried.
Not anime, but Japanese. Battle Royale 2 left me feeling cold for some reason, and forever pondering the fate of the kids who survived...
I have more, but I can't remember them right now......

I agree with the gash ending but the manga is still going right?
[quote="Dustlord"]s-Cry-ed
The series just seemed to drag out at the end. I personally believe that it should have ended one or two episodes earlier at the end of the episode.
Not to mention [spoil:6c1c2727ee]The last battle between Kazuma and Ryuho was bad, and they kill Straight Cougar for no reason![/spoil:6c1c2727ee]
[/spoil]
You know some people [spoil:6c1c2727ee]think that he wasn't dead but if he was it woul make sense with his alter being what it is. It might have speed up his life too much. But I kind of agree with the fight, how long did they fight for anyway?[/spoil:6c1c2727ee] Look it up on wikipedia, that's where I got it from. |

Pray tell... does anyone die at the end? Anyone? =O
I'm quite curious. I had a hunch about how it would end, but I'm unsure if that "hunch" was correct. _________________ - Sage |

Gash Bell ending spoiler:

As far as I saw in the S-Cry-ED ending...I was literally crying.
I mean, come on. What the hell was that?!
[spoil:ae3bca8769]Kazuma AND Ryuho went all "HENSHIN!" and they turned into ugly orange and white robots who went and did...something to Mujo. I was all like "Wtf?" And then you've always got Kazuma going "RAWR!~ MORE POWER LOL! RAWR!!!!" and Ryuho going "RAWR! I HAVE TO USE THIS POWER BUT THIS POWER CAN KILL PEOPLE OHNOEZ!!!" It was just plain odd to me :<[/spoil:ae3bca8769]
I also had some mixed feelings on the end of the Fullmetal Alchemist movie. Yes. The movie. Not the series, The movie.
[spoil:ae3bca8769]Well, for one thing, Al gets his memories back, but for another thing, Ed and Al are now trapped on the Earth Side of the gate, Can't use Alchemy, and will never see Winry and the others again. Ever. I understand that Ed had to bring What's-her-face...errr...Mean Thule Society Lady back to the other side of the gate to stop her from using Alchemy anymore, but then again, WTF?! Why couldn't he just send the ship back in the gate...or here's a thought, kill her by stabbing her . It was just very well...It was different than I expected. But I was kinda mad that Alphonse Heidrich died. It would've been so funny to see the two Als meet. But I digress. He was pretty awesome. Also, Noah. She and Ed make a MUCH better couple than Ed and Winry. But I do wonder. Will Al grow taller than Ed is? XD[/spoil:ae3bca8769] _________________ The time is come. I personally hated the ending to the anime version of Shingetsutan: Tsukihime.
[spoil:c2e637073e]The main female character dies, and the hero, who's only recently put it together that he honestly loves her, now has to move on with his life. Several other characters also leave, never to be seen again.[/spoil:c2e637073e]
Also, Samurai Girl: Real Bout High School. This anime does NO justice to the awesome manga it's based on, and they rushed the ending like nobody's business(Mostly because they only made 13 episodes, much of which was filler...), ruining the experience almost completely. _________________

The thing that it's horrible is just it's in no way that should've been ended. Anime staff went off by their own with the entire plot that I don't think Raiku will ever use in his manga drawing years.
Some recent ones I've watched.
Shuffle! The ending wasn't horrible, but the character was. Choosing Asa out of everybody was a horrible mistake as there will be no sequel nor OVAs. Leaving Kaede and the others over their jealous and praying them was no good thing either. Either way, it feels pretty weirdly ended.
Da Capo. One word. Nemu. Besides my absolute hatred toward her in the end of the 1st season, the 2nd season's appearance of her makes it worse as she basically stole Jyuuichi from the rangers. >_>; total waste of my anime watching time as it was easy to predict.
Mahou Sensei Negima. The ending is ridiculously weird, and the fact there is no sequel makes me cry. The OVAs are not even following after epsiode 26, and Negi nor anyone was ever make to be that whether he passed or not. Btw, the final battle is just sickening and funny and ridiculous at the same time.
Oh god, I am turning to think like Starry now. What has the world become of? _________________

The anime isn't over. It's just on hiatus. I don't know when it's gonna be on again, though. You'd have to ask Synchro-Kun that. _________________

The hiatus thing is entirely unconfirmed speculation, I'm afraid. To this date, there's nothing to actually indicate it's continuing, except for an inconclusive ending which.
Even if it were to continue, at this stage due to the uncertainty whether the manga itself will continue past the current arc and the accumulated differences between both versions, they'd probably have to do most of it in filler if it were to continue.
I would've liked it to continue myself, but I think realistically the best we can hope for is an OAV to wrap things up.[/spoil] |

No, I am fairly sure it has ended. Reason why?
1. Seriously enough, I don't see anyway it can continue. Past the Faudo arc and continue? No. Gash has turn to be too powerful to have actually any new rivals to stand in his way. Even if any does, it won't be the same as the before fights.
2. The anime clearly said it ended in the end of Episode 150. No sign of it showing it's continuing, nor any sign of saying it's for some reason that it must be stopped. (i.e. where the voice actor of Gash is pregnant, etc.)
Of course, there is a way that it can continued, but chances are that I won't find it well.
And speaking of which, the manga is good stuff now. _________________

Inuyasha: Naraku isnt defeated yet. They said it was the final episode, but later they said they still might continue the anime. |

I read they're REMAKING the Mahou Sensei negima! anime... I want to see that... hopefully it's closer to the manga... (except the whole staying up late just for 4 leaf clovers in the first episodes was pretty cute compared to... MAGIC PILLS! YAY LOVE POTION!) _________________

Dragon Ball GT ending. I mean, the whole series had alot of faults, but what. Does Goku die, become the Dragon? or does he live? Plus, Pan can't go Super, yet kids with barely any Saiyen blood can? it doesn't make alot of sense. _________________
