Since it seems someone else in here has actually heard of it. (omg another xobx user?)
I love this game, if my last thread didn't hint at it.A gew weeks ago I would have said my only complaint was that you couldn't just goof off after beating the last boss. Then I realise you could.
I've played through it 3 times, probably because it was the first RPGish game I've allowed myself to play since, like, FF8.
First time I used everything, second was magic only, and third focusing on the bow. Enflame is such a cheap spell, I loved it. I also had a White Balverine as a summon. I so can't wait for the sequel. So any other fans of this series out there? Hello? Hello? It's lonely here in Xbox land =(
Also which alignment do you go towards? Even in a damned video game I can't deny my good-naturedness. (Yay for made up words) |

well, i'm not an Xbox user, my brother has one and he borrowed Fable.
i kind of stayed in the middle when it came to being good or evil. i took on quests and did good stuff for people, but i also commited crimes because of ignorance. like, how was i supposed to know that female barber was married when i flirted with her? i got fined because of that! _________________ just call me xfyre. not xfyrethespooky. |

Someone mentioned taking over a town in the thread about action rpgs. I did that too. Slaughtering the entire town and taking over their empty homes took a really long time. Oh yeah, did I ever get evil. But I purified myself before I finished the game. Never could manage to get Skorm's Bow. And I sacraficed a lot of people to that picky demon too. :grr: Can't believe he wouldn't give me the darn bow. I started a second runthrough, maybe a year or so ago, but haven't finished it yet. I used some cheap glitches to get money and items. Cheating's fun! ... Hmm. I can't remember when the last time I used the X-box was. Oh well. If I never touch it again, I don't think I'll really be missing much. My hopes and dreams are on the Wii. _________________ Church: Are you following any of this?

Woah, she was married? I swear she was like ready to marry me at one point. She should be the one fined >>

I wish they could come out with more games like Fable for people like me. I know I'm not part of their target demographic, but 10$ games because your aunt works for Microsoft is hard to saw no to. (Although I'm still borrowing, I don't trust myself with a console)
I hated that time when you had to sneak by the gaurds in the area connecting to Oakvale. I killed like 30 of them before I realised I'm better off just sniping them. |

Yeah, it was Knothole Glade. Um, that's the one with the Balverines, right? I worked one a couple other towns too, like Oakvale. I was actually going on a homicidal rampage in Oakvale and the Fight Club showed up. I accidentally caught their attention, and they came after me too. The leader apparently can't be killed. I smacked him a couple of times, and he went, "Hit me again." I was amused.
Oh, what money tricks do you know? The one I use most is to have an upgraded house, put up trophies, and break the door. Then sell it, go inside and take the trophies back, and buy it again. Repeat as often as you have patience. The sell value with trophies is higher than the buy value without them. I found Knothole Glade the the best for this. The other money trick is to go through that tournament thing until before the final battle, quit and collect your winnings, do a character save, then load the game and start the tournament all over again. All the experience is an added bonus. _________________ Church: Are you following any of this?
