Is this Stargazer series the Gundam SEED: Eternal everyone was expecting several months ago, or do we know if they still plan on making some third Gundam SEED Series that isn't Stargazer _________________

Gundam SEED Eternity was a blatantly made up sequel with a horrible name and premise. It's not happening and it never will. Stargazer is an OVA that takes place right after the Break the World incident in Destiny, so it's a spin-off if anything. And there is no confirmation of a third SEED sequel, the only thing coming up is the SEED movie (animated, not live action) which is coming out sometime next year probably. And mind you, the movie is not a compilation of SEED again, it's an entirely new story. |

I QC for Zeonic-Corps, the group that released it first. The SE is basically episodes 1-15/16 compressed to 90 minutes, with some new dialogue, animations, and scenes. |

Or, do you mean the SEED one or the Destiny one? The SEED one is pretty much the same thing, either way. |

The SEED one is basically a compressed retelling of the series. A few things are reanimated but their aren't any major changes untill the very end. The only major ones are [spoil:0882c59d72]Mwu broken helmet is edited out from the aftermath of his death since he is alive in Destiny[/spoil:0882c59d72] and one of the three evil gundams are killed by a different character than the series, which seemed like an odd change.
Now the Destiny one is much different. It is different in the fact that several characters have notably different characterizations [spoil:0882c59d72]Cagalli is less pathetic than the series, she doesn't seem as clueless during the debates, seems to be ordering Athrun around when they are in the Zaku, and the scene of her stupidly giving Athrun's identity was taken out, as were the scenes of Jona bossing her around.[/spoil:0882c59d72] [spoil:0882c59d72]Shinn also seemed less angry in the scenes of him complaining about Orb, and during his SEED in the EA battle he's less insane looking with his crazed screaming changed to growling, and the shots of him looking like a lunatic are cut out[/spoil:0882c59d72] Alot of plot points that ultimatly went nowhere in the series were dropped[spoil:0882c59d72] most of the EA pilots and the Shinn/Stella relationship so far[/spoil:0882c59d72] As was the pointless things that were just thrown in to looks cool[spoil:0882c59d72]Andy's gunarm which never appeared again and the raid on Lacus's house removed most of the forces getting beaten by the two and just cut to them running. [/spoil:0882c59d72] The best change is my opinion was Kira who showed emotion during his scenes. In destiny tv he did nothing but stare with a blank expression no matter where he was, in battle, with Lacus etc. Of course the other special editions will have to change many things in order to improve the series. |

The short OVA Stargazer will probably be the last in the SEED franchise, and of course the SEED Destiny movie. I think the SEED franchise is coming to an end though. |

did anyone hear anything about the mobile suit gundam game? From the video I saw it looked like a crappy slow paced action game, but that didn't seem to fit any of the series which I have seen. |

I think he means the one for the 360 or PS3. It actually looks like a good game since you can go in and out of your gundam. |

Hmm, I read the Gundam SEED Destiny manga a while ago, in it, Kira an Cagalli are cousins. Does anyone know if this is just a translation mistake, or changed in the Manga for some reason? _________________

I saw stargazer 1 this weekend...no big whoop although i was trying to figure out why a that mobile suit was doing what it was doing, in the end it kinda made more sense than what i was thinking but hopefully they will resolve that issue by the end. |
