I just got back from a 9 day long awesome vacation in Japan, and while I was there I was able to watch (and record on tape) Japan's Saturday morning TV programs on TV Tokyo. I knew that Rockman EXE Beast + is a part of a half-hour long program featuring a comedy group and that Ape Escape show, but not until now was I able to see exactly how it was done. It's pretty neat actually, I couldn't understand a darn thing, but it was certainly fun to watch.
Basically, it's one guy announcer, a girl announcer, and this other guy showed up for more comedy. All they really do is silly commercial transitions and small skits. The girl announcer had my literally on the floor laughing when she did something funny with a paper fan, it's hard to describe, just, random hilarity. During their skit, a logo pops up for which show will start soon. Right before Rockman started, the girl announcer pulled out a Link PET and shouted "Plug In! Rockman EXE! Transmission!" and then it cut to a few Rockman commercials, and then the episode started. This one had Ito and Judgeman, very filler-ish but fun to watch, I loved the animation during the fighting scenes. After the show, it goes back to the comedy group, and eventual a big monkey showed up from Ape Escape, and more hilarity followed. After a short commercial break, the Ape Escape show started, I'm not sure what it's called in Japan. Once that finished, they had one last skit, and then they actually did episode previews. The guy announcer talks briefly about the following episode for both shows together.
Sorry if this isn't news to anyone here, I never found a full download of the entire program block, so I figured people might want to know how Rockman EXE is aired in Japan now. During my time in Japan, I bought lots of Rockman goodies, and was even able to play the Battle Chip Stadium game (I blew like, 3000 yen on it ), but I won't start ranting about that stuff, maybe I'll make a topic in the Games section. _________________

Ah-ha! Sounds a lot like the O-Ha Star weekday program, only shorter.

Nah, it hasn't been going since it ended at episode 51 or so.
No sign of a sequel or anything yet, either. Maybe when the 3rd game comes out. |

I hope so but for right now I want to see how the second season ended. Kids WB could have shown it with the first season. They have enought time before the newer(and worse) stuff starts don't they? And I still say toonami should have gotten it. Then atleast I could see the eps on the web after they moved it off. And on topic that sounds great. What else was on in the morning? |

No other shows really caught my eye on Saturday morning. I was very surprised though when I woke up in the middle of a Power Puff Girls anime. That was weird, I had no idea Japan did that. The show was much different then the American one I remember watching with my little sister a lot. I didn't see any Viewtiful Joe, just random shows I never heard of before, like Fairy Musketeers and some action show about kids riding bicycles O_o
Sunday morning was really cool though. I've become quite a Power Rangers fan recently, so seeing all the Live Action Visual Effect programs like Super Sentai and Masked Rider was very awesome. There was even one that was highly sponsored by Capcom, can't get a name from it, but fun to watch and had Rockman commercials throughout the show. _________________

Yeah. PowerPuff Girls Z. I heard about it from Kiruka. Though I have pretty much no idea what it's about, it's completely different like you said. _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

I've seen the first episode of it. Basically take everything you know about Powerpuff Girls and turn it into a cutesy, non-violent magical girl anime. The art's nice, but all that intense action that made the original US cartoon gold is, well... just not there. And they're focusing on Blossom (or whatever her new name is) too much. I think they're gonna pass her off as the main character. _________________

Yeah, PPGZ just started running a couple of weeks ago. There's a topic been started about it if anyone's so inclined:
